I'd do what my wife suggests I do. If she says go to the game and is serious about it with no repercussions....then man your in...if she says go to the memorial service.....go.

For the sake of closure....I'm going to the service and missing the game in person.
It was clear that the opinion of my better half, attending the game be perceived as supportive, insensitive, selfish, etc. Again, it was geography more than sympathy. If I had left her and her mother to host 30 plus out of town guests I would have been viewed as the bad guy. I conceded after little protest. See TE board for updates. Thanks for listening.
In the future, I will continue to propose sensitive questions to Rant. Remember, take care of yourself and each other.
