Center will be fine.

The talent is there at DL. Nevis, Woods, Alem, and Livingston all got significant PT this season. Depending on the DL coach that is brought in, it might be better than this season's DL.

-Big Herm is gone and will leave a gaping hole at LG- someone will have to step up.

You get so used to see a "3" vs. a these "2's" for weight, I had a to do a double take

Minter is the #1 Linebacker prospect in the state of Georgia. Great size, excellent speed, very hard worker, and great dimeanor for an 18 yr. old.

I think that Blackwell and Hurst will be well above 300 by the start of next season. Also, Spencer would be a good C prospect, IMO

You think? T-Bob looks too light. He has time to add some bulk so we'll see. Who else could slide over take that spot?

A lot have Levingston at DE but he looks like a DT to me. I agree, the D-line will be fine. I'm ready to see Nevis get significant playing time.

Hitt will play center and T bob will get playing time.

I don't think we lose any others after RJF.

I'd be surprised with that considering the difficulty of the center position. There's certainly enough depth at guard to make a move like that, but it may be hard to go for guard to center in the the course of a few months.

I think 2009 is a perfect opportunity for Crowton to move to the full-time use of an X Y Z WR set and take away the fullback element from our base offense

With Quinn gone and a true freshman coming in at FB, now is the time to rid the offense of the fullback and for Crowton to get back to spreading it out... JJ and Shepard also afford this opportunity and it makes sense

T-Bob can play anywhere. He will be to LSU football what David Palmer was to Bama football in the early 90's.

Thanks for taking the time to put the list together. For the most part, I think it is well thought out and accurate, but here are a few of my comments (hopefully they don't seem to be too negative):

quote:

No. 32 Charles Scott, 5'11", 223, SR
No. 5 Keiland Williams, 5'11", 223, SR
No. 26 Richard Murphy, 6'1", 198, JR
No. 8 Trindon Holliday, 5'5", 159, SR
Michael Ford
Dexter Pratt

I think/hope to see Stevan Ridley get more snaps at RB. I really think he runs as hard as anyone if given the chance. But, I dont see it happening with all of this talent and depth. I do think he will get much more PT in 2010 when Scott, Williams, and Holiday are gone. Even then, it will be a tough competition with Ford and Pratt coming in.

quote:

No. 34 Stevan Ridley 6’0”, 215, SO
Dominque Allen

-Concern here- Ridley has been a serviceable ball carrier in mop up duty, but I didn't see him block much, so hopefully Allen can come in as a true freshman and be able to block like a champ. It would be great to have a good receiver in this position too (maybe Tyler Edwards as he was seen practicing in this position during the season).

I agree with this for the most part. As I stated above, I think Ridley is more of a RB and we will see Allen come in and step up although a true Freshman.

quote:

WR
No. 80 Terrance Toliver, 6'5", 180, JR
No. 87 Jared Mitchell, 6'0", 192, SR
No. 19 Deangelo Peterson, 6’3 190, RSFR
No. 10 Ricky Dixon, 6’2”, 216, JR

If the incoming recruiting class works out in our favor, look for Reuben Randle (HOPEFULLY) and Andre Debose (HOPEFULLY) to come in and see SOME time. If this happens, there have been rumors that Ricky Dixon may transfer. Of course, this is all speculation, and I think your list is relatively accurate as it currently stands.

quote:

Danny McCray gave me ulcers while I watched him cover people and I think LSU has plenty of people that should play ahead of him

McCray has been much better against the run the last half of the season. Safety is clearly where he needs to play. I don't want to be negative about people on here, but I agree with your pass defense assessment.

quote:

Coleman was solid

That sentence should end with "AT TIMES." At other times, he was simply the most putrid tackler I have seen in years. When not attempting to tackle the ball carrier with his forehead or shoulders, he was decent.

My wish list includes everyone actually spelling his name correctly!

Otherwise, thanks for your efforts, and I agree for the most part.

Where does this come from?

I could see Dixon moving on and Mitchell concentrating on baseball since that is where he is going to get paid. Hope Black comes back.

charles Alexander will return. He's getting another RS. Hitt will play center.

T-bob blew out his knee I doubt he will be 100% this fall. I hope he is we need him.

withCiron Black and Richard dixon coming back I think we will be solid on the O line.
