We are playing UO, let's show them we aren't stupid ok?

Also, get a grip on reality brah. We won't be skullfricking them like your score suggests.

DL will be the only weakness and it won't be that bad. The backups played a lot so I don't think it's an issue tbh.

i am not worried about oregon one bit. i think we boat race them.

heres why:
-look at the teams (chip kelly's)oregon has lost to: boise st, tOSU, auburn. all have big, physical DLs that stop their spazz running game. get them to throw, it means they cant do the hurry up- takes a way their effectiveness
-b/c this is the first game of year, that buys us a quarter and a half of their offense just trying to get in rhythm. if this were the 5th game of the season, boy id be worried, but its not.
-they are replacing 3-4 starters on the offensive line. darron thomas and lamichael james are great, but if theres no running room, they dont get yards
-they are replacing their best players on a small, undersized D. perfect matchup for us b/c even though we will be working out our own kinks on offense, the straight ahead, power running game is what were built for. thatll work no matter who our QB is.

basically, we will physically dominate them on both lines and win comfortably

28-24 LSU wins we always have trouble with scrambling qb's.

Their LB corp is their deepest unit besides defensive backs. Yes he is a loss, my favorite player on defense besides Cliff Harris for them but they have very capable backups. Boseko (bo) Lokombo is a name you will hear.

Depends if we can stop the read option. I suspect that Shep will be the practice team QB preparing our D-line and LBs

I would have to agree with you. I am a realist. We do have problems with more physical teams due to our lack of size. However, I don't think it'll be a cakewalk. I've notice LSU's defense has had problems with mobile quarterbacks and the read option (Cam Newton-AU and Masoli-Ole Miss). Being the first game of the season, anything can happen. I really do think LSU will win by 10-14 though. I think your offense can "control" the pace of the game and the LSU defense as a whole is just as fast, if not faster, than our offense. We will have to play out of our minds to come out with a victory in my opinion.

Tigers will do to the Ducks, what we did to Va. Tech in '07. A total and complete deconstruction. Les has been very good with time to prep for games. Oregon is gonna want out of Dallas by half.

Chavis struggles game planning (and play calling) against a true spread team

before anyone gives me and "negatiger", the guy has admitted so himself.

the key will be a power running game...best way to beat the spread is to keep the offense off the field.

they are very gimmicky as a spread team. and they have proven to struggle with large, physical DLs. we certainly fit that bill

the media has totally glossed over the fact they are replacing most their OL and almost every play maker on D save harris. oregon is not yet a team that can just reload, especially in the season opener

their D is really irrelevant, were talking about LSU D vs. a spread offense.
