So we got negative publicity. That's really not what you insinuated but okay.
What did I insinuate? I insinuated that LSU fans were foaming at the mouth for more investigations into AU. They got it. They also got more investigations into other major BCS schools.
Or at least that's what I meant to insinuate.

The NCAA dug around their program after one of the most popular "scandals" in history and came away with jackshit.
They just said two days ago they are still investigating AU, but i don't know jack shite.

Yes, that's my problem with the story. The headline makes an absolute statement, which is completely false. Hell, they reveal it's false in their own damn story.
The true headline would say: After review of LSU's discs, ESPN fins that some of the video is irrelevant to recruiting; however, some is relevant to potential prospects.
I understand the need to have a catchy headline, but when the FIRST DAMN PARAGRAPH falsifies your headline it certainly is a bit shady.

Yep, and unfortunately, the most the average ESPN reader actually reads is the headline and first/last paragraphs.

So was every damn fanbase. What SEC West fanbase or fanbase around the country didn't want AU to go down for the clear cheating? Don't compare the two situations either, because they're not even remotely on the same level.

I never said other fan bases weren't? Did I?
I'm not arguing, I'm just saying that LSU fans should be willing to sit back and take the criticism. The writing was on the wall months ago when the fly by night reporters started digging up what they call legitimate information.

Yeah i'm not really understating his argument either. He's not making a point.

No but you found it necessary to tell everyone we were wanting Auburn to go down, as if you were breaking Osama's assassination news or something.

Thank you. At least I'm not the only one.
I just hope LSU fans attempt to look at this rationally and without purple shades on.

What? I was making a point that LSU fans did want more dirt on AU, as did other fans.
Anyways, I'm done trying to defend an opinion on here. I'm an LSU fan and hope nothing comes of this, but I'm willing to take off my shades for a minute.

How does one do this? Do we hope for bad findings and sanctions?

Of course they are because it's a fishy situation were violations more than likely DID occur. You are missing the point that you can't hammer programs without hard evidence.
You really think AU would play Cam and have such a "don't give a shite" demeanor if they felt like they'd be caught? Even with all the heat right on top of them?
If LSU committed major violations, there's a good chance it covered those tracks. At this point, LSU is in the clear. Like I said, the NCAA needs to find a paper trail, bc LSU didn't pay a lowly $6k for Mett or anyone else.

They won the NC with a player soliciting MSU for 200k that won the Heisman and reside in our same conference.
LSU struck out on multiple Lyles players and the best we have to show for it is a guy that hasn't even played a snap.
But yeah, it's crazy to think that those situations resulted in a different perspective, or that the first resulted in people wanted AU to get the death penalty.

No, you look at the situation without bias. You read facts and take them as fact or fiction. You don't make ill based judgement calls because it's your alma mater. You don't deny everything out there (because really none of us know the truth) like AU fans did and still do.

You are making my point for me. If you don't think violations most likely occurred here .... and that the NCAA won't find them ... you are sadly mistaken. Especially when you read Dan Wetzel's link above.

Yeah that comment might have been the dumbest on this thread. Not you Festus, the guy you replied to.

Wetzel's knowledge of this smells like a trap... Seems like he knows way too much about this..
