So, I'm driving back from Slidell this morning and get in range of 1210am and hear some awful gospel fecal faux rock proclaiming Jesus as the cure for cancer (I kid you not) and blurt out "what the hell is this?" Is a gospel station SUPPOSED to draw comparisons to hell?
Thinking it might just be a holiday substitution for regular programming I wasn't too distressed until I ran across this thread.
Sucks is about all I can say.

Living in South Florida, I really enjoyed listening to Jimmy and Buddy. Hope to see these guys back on the radio soon.

Well you guys can say what you want about Jordy, Buddy, etc. It was good to listen to LSU sports talk. Nice job 1210am pulling the plug right before the NCG, nice job

Don't miss him for too long... Jordy, Jimmy and Buddy are negotiating with another (albeit weaker) channel. Brings back memories of when Jimmy faded out when it got dark and the station basically went off of the air around 5:00.

So they called all the guys in on New Years Eve and told them they were changing formats. Thats cold as hell to fire them over the holidays.
104.5 has all kinds of contracts with ESPN. Its going to be very tough to get out of those in order to hire some of the 1210 casualties.

I wasn't a big fan of Ott or Buddy. Buddy with his dragging out everything he said to stall for time. Even so, who will pimp stuff like the recruting bash and other stuff that is a big deal for the program? Alumni trips etc. The station, if nothing else, was a decent source of info for team events and road trip stuff.

Was gonna say the same thing. Even though I'm a bigger fan of Tramonte's Fine Meats (jordy) over Manda's Fine Meats (songy)....I did enjoy his coverage of the bash...since I can never seem to get over to the river center.
At least Mascona is still around in the evenings...he's improved immensely...from reading news straight from Espn's website and using all of the writers' opinions to finally forming his own opinion and reading from td's website instead.
BTW:Dont hate on the Christian community....not a fan of the full gospel mount zeeon-fiyah-fa-god ministries music by any means....but dont bring that atheist crap up in here.
