Devine not only has speed and strength but he also has incredible balance. What scares me is someone trying to arm tackle him only to watch him take one all the way. If you aren't concerned with his big play ability then I don't know what to tell you aside from the fact that stats don't always tell the whole story. A perfect example is making conclusions about LSU's pass D based on teh UNC game stats.

34 yards rushing on 14 carries

Looks like I was right

And don't give me the crap about his toe hurting. If he was that hurt he shouldn't have been in the game at all.

I was impressed with the kid gutting it out. I thought the kid played hard considering he could barely put weight on the foot and his coaches insisted on trying to pound him up the middle. At the beginning of the game when they ran him in the open field he definitely had another gear. Time will tell how good he is. When he gets to the NFL and is not asked to run up the middle so much we will see how good he is. Powerman you have to remember the kid was playing against a very good defense and was not alone out there. People all over the country could laugh at how bad our receiving core is based on yardage totals but that does not tell the whole story. From the outside they don't realize how bad a coordinator we have.

So like, say Adrian Peterson is the starting RB, and you, powerman, are the #2 RB. AP tweaks his ankle and is about 80%. He can still run, but he can't get as much push off of that ankle, so he's not as quick and elusive as he normally is. Even at 80% he's still better than you, so he should be in the game.

See how that works?

He looked good pre-injury.
