This I am aware of, but "on the streets" doesn't have to be his home town. By no means am I saying he is a thug or hangs around the wrong crowd, but time on the field (Baseball, football, soccer, or whatever) always increases your chances of staying away from trouble. There is a lot of spot light pointing at him right now, and the media would love nothing more then to write about an incident that OBJ was involved in.

Say what you like, but you know I'm right about this

Wait, you were serious? What a fricking moron. I want my upvote back. I thought you'd successfully trolled, but now I see you're just dumb.

Sure! Why not? I don't understand why this is such a big deal. All I'm saying is time on the diamond or on the football field, is less time for mistakes. What is so damn hard about understanding that?

Agreed. I actually think being an astronaut would be better though. Can't get in much trouble in space.

so why does he need a fallback option?
For a way of life and to stay competing in an organized activity? You are not going to prove me otherwise. To each his own.

Great add to the argument. You must be a pro at this TD stuff...or a fat arse that sits behind a keyboard. I'll go with the second option.

I'd concentrate on football if I were him.

Why the hell does one need to be competing in organized activities to stay out of trouble or avoid mistakes? What the hell does him playing another sport have to do with anything?

I'm just a regular joe who does not play sports or do any organized activity at all, and yet I somehow manage to stay out of trouble. How does that work?

He probably has a "way of life" already that is working for him. Why would you think otherwise? Please answer.

They don't. Just saying that it wouldn't hurt.

Keeps him focused in another team sport/activity

Congrats. DO you make millions of dollars on endorsements and have different vendors knocking at your door daily?

Where have I stated that he has a "bad" way of life? Please answer. AGAIN, all I'm saying is that it couldn't hurt to try it out. Hell, it's done well for Russell Wilson.

No shite Sherlock. Hoping this doesn't happen, but what if it does to OBJ? Would be nice for him to test drive his pitching tools now while he is still healthy. Always good to have a fall back option, my man

Beckham has zero chance to make any money playing baseball. This is not a fall back plan

Can-Am league salaries are like 1K a month, would be a waste of his time

No. It keeps him off the streets and away from getting himself in possible trouble. Why would OBJ not want to do this?

You stated it would help him avoid trouble or mistakes. Why would he get in trouble or make mistakes? Because he's not playing in a fricking baseball summer league? Ridiculous.

The vast vast majority of athletes do not get in trouble or "make mistakes" like you seem to think, and it's not because they are playing in other team sports.

What does this have to do with the fact that I manage to live a nice clean life without playing a bunch of organized sports? I'm sure, like most American workers, OBJ can somehow manage to keep his nose clean with a little idle time on his hands.

Don't get me wrong, I'm an a-hole, but this is one of the worst showings of being completely uninformed I have ever seen.
