I grew up in the Hodson era. I still think the 50's and 60's wouldve been the best time to be alive.

Not long after the Tigers won the National Championship my father took me ( I guess I was about 10 years old ) and Francis Payne - a former Tulane All American took his son to the Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport. I remember vividly sitting there and seeing Billy Cannon and the whole Dietzel team on Stage in Coats and Ties. wow- what a memory

That would have been a tie for the world record. Seeing as how he wasn't listed as a world record holder, I don't find this as accurate.
