Talking about experience here. Were they playing against the bamas, ufs, auburns, a&m? If you watch our games closely you will see some of these guys were thrusted into situations against top quality opponents when we were actually trailing. They werent getting mop up duty against scrub teams. Did you have 4 freshman in the secondary against stanford? Did you have sophomores on the oline pave the wY for a 1kyd rusher in the sec?
This is what we were working with and only lost 2 games in the toughest division in college football. Our young players have real starting experience.
The only questions i would have is finding a 3rd and 4th receiver and mlb. Thats where we lack experience. Sure we have guys that have played here and there andon special teams, but thats not the experience we are talking about.

I'll take it from the top. It was against Auburn but not bama, tamu or uf. Does UF really belong on that list? However, I get your point. However, the Pac - 10 is a good conference and LSU should know after having troubles with UW and Oregon State.

We gave our third stringers and walk on mop up duty. Our second platoon of players played at very critical times. I remember the 9th guy in our DL getting in against stanford when we were losing big. Oregon's 25 man roation was not manufactured and was not used only when we had leads. It was because players deserved the time.

Our freshman are not in the secondary (we will have 3 redshirt frosh that look like they will push some upperclassmen). Our secondary is upperclassmen. We had a lot of underclassmen rotate in the DL and LB corp. Don't know who the question is salient to the game.

We were in the Pac, so that would be impossible.

Our lack of real experience will be in the WR corp. The oline has 60 some start combined and 5/8 rotating players returning. We have no experience at center and one of our guards spots will be filled by a guy with little start but key reserve playing time. One of our WR will be totally green. Those are three spots: G, C, WR. The slot guy will be proven and one of the edge receivers but not real depth. Every starter on defense will have major playing experience. The interior of the oline is the 2nd most green. It sounds like your DT rotation is somewhat green as well with Nevis and Pep gone. However, our passing game depends on some unprovens stepping up.

questions on the oline are big ones to have. LSU is a top program and our run game struggled for two years when we were breaking in a center and new guards.
I def dont expect yall to be able to throw on us at all. Our dbs will out match ur wr. Especially in the first game.
With our oline i expect to win. neither of the teams will be able to pass the ball and i think lsu comes out on top running the ball.

We had 19 starts coming into the '09 season and went to the rose bowl. We lost 5 seniors the year before. Greatwood has been at Oregon 20+ years and he is the oline coach. Oregon is very god at teaching the oline position.
We started off with BSU in '09 and that was a debacle. However, we had new starters everywhere except TE. Masoli had started from game 4 on the previous year and Maehl was a slot guy going outside. That was it.
I expect us to sputter. I have said this in every post. However, where I disagree with most of you is that LSU will not sustain drives by just running the ball. Sooner or later, JJ will have to beat us.
