Just researched tuition for UO and it is almost $1,000.00 per semester less per full time student taking 12 hours (basic) than LSU. enrollment is about 19,500 and GPA for admission is 3.4!

Band has a budget to educate the music students, not to waste on athletic events away from campus. They have a budget to educate the music students and are probably satisfied with their budget.

Did UO make it to the BCS without the band going to all of the away games last year? Seems like their football team plays pretty well without the band. Just a thought.

I think their priorities are in the right place.

Tiger Band travel is paid by the Athletic Department, hoss.

I don't see why Tiger Band wouldn't be allowed to do pregame. I was in TGBFTL, and we always did pregame at neutral site games.

I assume you adjusted for the fact that Oregon is on a quarter system?

Your assumption is correct.

Out of state tuition is almost 3 times that of LSU. And you wonder why LSU has a budget and funding problem.

Your math is off.

$498 more per year on a 30 credit hour schedule for an in state student at LSU.

And LSU is $876 more per year in Non-Resident fees.

But continue to lead blindly into the assumption that UO is a model institution for LSU...
