I think the time in the second quarter where the band forms on the side of the field till halftime is one of the most crucial times in the game( and the time it takes the band to get re-seated after the halftime show) there is NO NOISE during this time and there should be. If they are going to pipe in music, it should be during these times to pump the crowd up. IMO the last 8 minutes of the first half and the first 8 of the second are super critical times for our team, and the noticably lack of excitement/noise has an effect on the team... This has always bothered me...

The one time they did try and play when Tiger Band was in the stands Tiger Band played Hey Baby over it and it stopped.

i think people are gonna whine and complain no matter what. Get over it! if u have that big of a problem then call Joe Alleva. I don't mind it either way. I love hearing the band but i don't mind the "piped in music" either. Quit complainin and get over it if u ever become the AD then u can decide what happens. I agree it shouldn't be played over the band

Hate It.
The band just received a LA HOF award, let them play!!
Let's get an amp and an electric guitar in the band and have them play songs.
Or, have the drums play "We will rock you".
I am sure the students will sing. They do sing "livin on a prayer" by Bon Cheesey.

i like it if they play football music. this pussy going to BATON ROUGE song sucks. Do you think any of these black kids we have gets fired up hearing this bullshite? NO THEY DON'T. Play saturday night special by lynard skynard or she's a super freak by RICK JAMES. Also i wish the band would drop living on a prayer shite also.But other than that i like it.

okay i'll give you that. The music that is being piped in such the song going to Baton Rouge is not entertaining the fans that sit in our section because it is not football music. I would rather hear welcome to the jungle or similar type songs.

I hear you. I just dislike Tiger Stadium becoming more like every other sports venue around the country. Everyone plays those songs. You could hear those songs at any NFL venue, but you won't hear the Baton Rouge song.

The Golden Band from Tigerland should never be preempted by piped in. That said, I agree that when the band is heading down for halftime or taking a break (???) it is okay. I see folks saying they hate it but no one is saying why or what they hate about it.

OK, you never know around here. I'd rather they kept the piped in music to a minimum. It's so generic that it's laughable. People say it pumps up a crowd. I don't see this happening, but maybe someone somewhere was pumped up for 2 seconds upon hearing Back in Black. IDK.

agree. however i hope the tiger band does not play less. I love hearing them and they get everyone pumped up.

Oh haha sorry. It is the rant after all. i wouldn't be surprised if half the people around here wanted Rick James instead of the fight song after TDs.
