I agree. And the opponent would have had even more chances to score, were it not for all those touchdowns and field goals that ended long, sustained drives. We had, what 25 TDS scored on us this year. For every TD scored, that kept the opponent from running at least 3 or 4 more plays from scrimmage...so really the opponent had the equivalent of about 30-35 more plays per game than we did and we still won 9 games...our defensive performance is mind-blowing when you consider this.

So basic math here says that the average NCAA team ran 104 more total plays on offense than LSU...

God almight

For you math wizzards, that's 8 plays per game multiplied by 13 games

8x13=104


ETA: based on our yards-per-play of 5.25, the NCAA averaged 42 more yards per game than LSU or 546 for the season. That's a game and a half worth of yardage. Again, the calculator.
