Another fool clearly didn’t read the article or the plethora of threads which summarily address this issue.

Only the NCAA and the media covering these sports still peddle the amateurism nonsense with a straight face.
Maybe it will finally happen with this case, but the NCAA HAS to be living on borrowed time. I can't think of anything remotely comparable to the racket the NCAA has been pushing since the BCS era started. Newsflash if your "amateurs" are pulling in billions of dollars they're not amateurs and they deserved to be compensated as such. In a free market I can charge someone 10 grand for my autograph and if they pay it.. so be it. I could even do that if I went to school on a scholarship.. but not if I go to school on a sports scholarship.. nooooo. that would be tainting the integrity of college sports (and dipping into the NCAA's pockets).

Let's not pretend he was having conversations about doing things legally when the tap said he made strong offers to the players mother.
What you are talking about is an NCAA violation, not a federal law. Additionally, Wade is a witness in a case involving someone else as defendant.
So, the statement that he is not under investigation by the FBI is correct.
