I drink bourbon all game, but I don't hear a whole lot of profanity at all. I keep hearing about other people having problems with profanity but I just never hear it.

Bourbon is pretty strong...might have an effect on your ability to hear. I'm just saying!!

Lay off the testosterone injections. Geez. Don't go making threats you can't enforce. Besides he is making a good point.

Children that hear cuss words in Tiger Stadium grow up to be sociopaths.

I'm joking. My point is, you know there is going to be plenty of alcohol and people cursing, so either don't take your kids to the game, or explain to them, you would prefer they not use that language.

profanity is just words its not that big of a deal to me. I think the only people that really care about it is people with children and older folk.

My wife had her fill of it yesterday and won't be returning. I wouldn't even consider taking a child to a game these days. It is totally inconsiderate and shows a total lack of class. And don't tell me that's the way it is everywhere because it's not. Enough is enough!

i'm guilty of getting frustrated by a game or official myself and letting something come out. i'm no saint. i try to control my profanity, i work at it every day. i don't make excuses for it, i just try and do better. i was raised in a house where it's common language. it's not something you just turn off without error.

none of us are perfect. you and your wife included. if you expect not to here a curse word, then you better not turn on your t.v., go to a game, store, movie, or even leave your house.

a child is going to hear it no matter where you bring them or not bring them. you teach them right vs wrong and educate them of what you expect.

i'm a father of three and practice this on a daily basis. i'm not perfect but i'll put myself and my three kids character on how they act, what they stand for, and what they do for others against anyone else's any day of the week.

i'm not saying it's right. however, to judge people is the bigger sin here. you defining class based on someone cursing isn't much better. we don't live in a perfect world and you or your wife shouldn't expect one.

It doesn't happen everywhere. I've been to games at other SEC stadiums and have taken my kids and didn't have to worry about people cursing all around me. And, they were still able to cheer and cheer loudly.

Why do LSU fans think that is the best way to go.

It's stupid.

So when your kid comes home someday, uses that type of language with your wife, daughter or your mom- what are you going to do?

Tell your loved ones- " they do it everywhere--if you don't want to hear it don't come to my house?
What logic!

Explain to him, that while that language may be acceptable for others, it is not for him until he is a grown man.

why can't we just curse like everyday language and eventually it won't live up to it's value of being a bad forbidden word and just be a word. it's the manner of how yo uuse it that matters in my opinion and yes it is everywhere. you can't stop people from saying it at a sports venue. especially drunk or inebriated one way or the other

maybe they don't think it's "the best way to go". maybe they are imperfect and their emotions get the best of them. never happened to you? you've never got frustrated and said something you rather not have? hmmm, glass house i bet.

Seriously, how old is the original OP? Why do you find "frick" offensive? That's language that any adult uses and as long as you attend sporting events, (especially collegiate or professional) anywhere you will hear that. You cannot shelter yourself from the world in TS. If you don't like it, don't come.
