Better oline will definitely help this yr. I still believe LSU is going to struggle alot on the offensive side of the ball. Any team that plays LSU would be wise to stack the box and make JJ/JL beat them through the air. I don't think either is capable of doing that. They have been in the system 3 yrs now and neither of them still look remotely comfortable back there.

As long as lsu continues to line up in the gun the majority of the time, i think i quarterbacks will continue to struggle. For jj and jl to be successful, our running game has to improve and it won't improve from the gun.

LSU has won two championships with B-grade quarterbacks.
Flynn was never a B-grade quarterback. Had JR gone to FSU, MF would have been a 3-year starter and probably a very early-round draft pick. As it is he's performed way above average at every level of his career and will eventually be an NFL starter. Mauck even made it to the NFL though calling him a B-level guy is fair considering his talent level did not come close to Flynn. I agree that improved blocking will go a ways toward fixing the offensive problems of last year. However, reaching the next level will depend on the starting QB(whomever it is)playing with an advanced level of maturity and a degree of execution neither JL or JJ have consistantly displayed as yet.
