Stevan played in Trinity state championship game at nose tackle in 7th grade. He started on the varsity team as a freshman. Played his entire time there both ways. Started to get serious carries as a sophmore on a Trinity team that moved up to 2A for one season. Had about 1500 yards and in one game against a #1 rated school ran for 365 yards and 6 touchdowns. As a junior and senior could have easily broken all state rushing records averaged about 17 yards a carry.

I just find it quite funny that anytime someone gets a scholarship from a small private school people immediatly blast them for playing against inferior competition. Hell, most small schools all over the damn country are pretty much all white...racist..

Remember it is not about what you see about a recruit that means the most, it is what is in the heart, I said IT IS WHAT IS IN THE HEART That is something that is put there by any coach it is what God put's there. That is what every coach looks for when they go visit a recruit. When you come across it you know it, it is always there no matter what they do it shows. The stats will show it in some ways but it is how they play the game and you could it the first time you saw him play. When he came in the game against Tulane and he ran the ball carried LSU down the field 58 of 78 yards rushing. You do not do that unless you are gifted with God given talent and he has it and it showed.

I was there, he didnt start but saw time at nose tackle. His brother Chad was a senior that year and one of the best players in the state.

If his high school coach wasn't such a class act Stevan could have easily rushed for over 6000 yards IMO. 4-500 yards a game was easily possible. Most games he was out by halftime.

He didn't play in the 01 state champ game. Trust me, I was there too (on the field).

Was it 8th grade then? I guess I must be wrong on that.

He might have played in the game two years later when he was a 9th grader... That team also went to the game but I think they lost.
