Weren't you the center of one just like this a couple of months ago? Didn't it get to 20 pages?

yes he was

Who on the board will be hosting this weekend? I like BBQ, fried catfish, burgers, jambalaya, whatever! Anyway, I'm looking for people that are doing some serious cooking to hang out with. I would prefer that there not be too much liquor involved. It is cool if the host wants to have a beer while I am around, but not much more than that. Thanks and I look forward to hanging out!!!

Like I said, it is cool if someone wants to have a beer, just no heavy drinking while I am around.

Also, if anyone has a sleeper camper I'd be willing to put up $20 or so to use an empty bunk for the evening.

this one takes the cake on douchiness

quote:

For instance, if someone is about to pour a drink I'll say "I'll bet you can't wait twenty minutes before you have that drink." An overwhelming majority of people will prove me wrong. That saves me from looking like I am making demands. After twenty minutes have passed I'll usually get going unless I'm still eating. If I'm not done yet, I'll usually bet them again. It works well and everyone enjoys it!

you're an embarrassment

quote:

That sounds like fun, where will you be? Do you have a sleeper camper? Also, if you have any friends with extra tickets I'll be happy to buy one at face value.

going to a game buzzed is fun, and you can still remember everything that happens during it.

Does Rosenblatt sell alcohol?

You gotta give everyone a pass here and there though. I have certainly made my fair share of mistakes.

Its the sloppy drunk that won't stop cursing in front of kids that really gets me angry.

In the early 70's I used to get very drunk and stoned on everything from pot to acid to go to Tiger Stadium. After seeing what that sort of living does to a person I no longer find it okay for people to abuse their bodies like that and I will not sanction it by standing idly by.

If this is true bandwagon, then you arent helping anyone like you probobly think you are. You are simply trying to get a free meal while attempting to ignore the things you claim are evil.

I can respect this a lot. But isn't it kind of the pot calling kettle black? Maybe other people can control themselves whereas you could not. Sounds like you are being selfish to me.

quote:

BandwagonJumper

There are those who think that life has nothing left to chance take,
A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance.

A planet of playthings,
We dance on the strings
Of powers we cannot perceive
"The stars aren't aligned,
Or the gods are malign..."
Blame is better to give than receive.

Chorus
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill;
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill.

There are those who think that they were dealt a losing hand,
The cards were stacked against them; they weren't born in Lotusland.

All preordained
A prisoner in chains
A victim of venomous fate.
Kicked in the face,
You can't pray for a place
In heaven's unearthly estate.

Chorus

Each of us
A cell of awareness
Imperfect and incomplete.
Genetic blends
With uncertain ends
On a fortune hunt that's far too fleet.

so you're just a hypocrite. Drinking alcohol occasional and relaxing is actually good for the body, mind, and soul

My friend from those days, and LSU fanatic, Bill lost everything he had after getting hit in the head on a construction site and now he's practically retarded.

If I keep someone from experiencing what ole Bill has lived through then I'll consider these actions justified.

I fail to see the connection here. What does this have to do with anything beyond construction site safety?

Ole Bill was an architect that enjoyed his drinks and drugs into his twenties. He was on mushrooms and some scotch at the construction site and wandered into the wrong place. He took one of those crane grappling hooks to the head and now he's practically retarded.

so since some people like to drink before lsu games, you are going to try to get them kicked out so they wont do drugs before they go to work?
