why would you compare shep to perrilloux?
Why would you elevate him to such status before he's even suited up for a game?

Shep is going to arrive at LSU as a cult icon and leave as a legend.
Fact is you don't know jack shite how his career will unfold.

no, I don't know they future.
but there are things called "opinions"
they go along with this other thing called "free speech"
you should research those two things sometime.

You do realize that the college success rate amongst elite talent is very high? Hell, even Ryan P impacted LSU plenty in his limited time here.
There is a better chance that a guy with Shepard's talent will be great than being a bust.

Don't need to do any research....Even asshats like you have the right to express their opinions.

Even an opinion should be backed by some sort of eividence. Why would anyone in his right mind think that Shep is anything like Perriloux off the field? Everything I have read, seen, or heard about the kid has been positive.

Arrakis, don't give that dog any more meth.

I love Les Miles. And this is coming from me - I was a HUGE Saban backer and still am.
Saban freaking SAVED LSU football. We should put a statue of him outside Tiger Stadium.
But as great as Saban was for LSU, Miles is equally a perfect fit for this era. I hope he's here until he retires in 30 years.
ETA: And I'm proud to say the only time I was ever slightly down on Miles was the 2005 Tennessee heartbreaker.
The criticisms of his game management really aren't fair. The Auburn :01 play was the most overhyped and unfair criticism of a coach that I can remember. The clock would have stopped with :03 left had LSU not scored on the play. It's obvious the clock operator got excited and forgot to kill the clock for a couple of beats.
I don't disagree with any of his 4th down calls, and he replaced coordinators when he needed to replace them. LSU Football remains in GREAT hands.

Based on your recount of the Coach Akey, I will be pulling for the Vandals this fall, if only from afar.

I agree with your post completely, except:
Miles is a TERRIBLE clock manager. He really needs to improve on that. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing.

Ryan Perriloux was in love with himself, and a prima donna. The kid was handled with kid gloves his entire life, and he had bad home training, with a mother and sisters who told him he was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Rp thought so highly of himself, he predicted 2 heismans in his future. c'mon, anybody could tell this was not a team first guy at the very least.
Shep is diff, he was well raised and is well mannered, and he wont place himself above the team, I think he will stay out of trouble and do well...

Can anyone think of a better comparison for Shep than Pat White?
