Has Baker red-shirted yet (too lazy to check the roster)? If not, I would hope LSU wouldn't burn his red-shirt for a bowl game.

If he is out 3 months, he'll redshirt this year.

We won't see him again till Spring ball.

Hope Minter is ready to go.

This news sucks.

I was really looking forward to seeing him play this year.

And I'm sure he was jacked about getting on the field full time.

Exactly no one said he would be out 3 months. It depends on how severe the fracture is plus people heal differently.

Keith Rivers missed 9 games after Hines Ward broke his jaw.

But I just read a story about a hockey player who missed 3 weeks after breaking his jaw.

Plus when did 3 months add up to hope he is ready by bowl game. That's in January he would be ready to go by mid October.

We also broke Caleb King's jaw, running back for Georgia, and he was back the following week also. That was the worst thing for us because there back up sparked life for Georgia in that game. Here's to a fast recovery by Baker!

This could be 1 week or this could be 9. I think they hold him out of contact until UNC game and let him play. Jaw heals quick with some people, especially if it is a clean break. They can brace it up for a game and unbrace it after.

I was overly optimistic in my first post, without knowing the full extent of the injury. Each case is different, Jason Whitten missed one game after breaking his jaw during his rookie season.

Jason witten played two days after he had his jaw wired shut his rookie year in dallas. He played like that for weeks. Baker needs to HTFU
