If the hospitals are overwhelmed with elderly/people with preexisting conditions that get corona....where are they going to put people who have been in severe accidents, heart attacks, brain surgeries, etc? There are only so many beds available and there are already enough people in intensive care units for reasons OTHER than the corona virus.
300k were hospitalized during the H1N1 2009/2010..don’t remember the panic or worry about hospital beds. 1400 have Corona in the US.

274,304 were hospitalized. Main difference with that & this is that there was already a swine flu strain that had been in the US. It was very rare and transmitted from swine to human. The actual swine flu came about when it began being transmitted from human to human. Vaccines were already present for certain strains, they just had to find the right combo to treat it.
Corona is new and there is currently no vaccine/immunity to it. It is also able to be spread much easier....virus is able to live hours on a surface/air after the host has left the area. That life span is normally minutes for the flu.
Not trying to argue with you or anyone else. Just don't understand why everyone is so hell bent on taking unnecessary risks. If you aren't concerned about yourself, that's fine...but think of others as well.
If you want/need info, i would suggest to turn off FOX, CNN, talk radio, etc. Instead visit the CDC website, WHO, HHS, or your family physician to get advice/answers from professionals.
