Yeah I got that... and it would be a good system if all SEC opponents were common opponents... but they aren't so it isn't a consistent measure of who is best in the WEST since you are playing for champion of the WEST. The SEC championship is meant to pair the best in each division, but the system doesn't necessarily show who is the best in each division to put into the championship game.
