LSU should buy everything over there including the apartments, knock them down, and go from there.

I lived within walking (or stumbling) distance of Fred's from 1980 - 1983. Back then it was pretty nice and a prime location for college students. As the years went by, the apartment buildings got old and new and better complexes in other neighborhoods were built. That is the way it usually goes.
