He seemed to be a Saban guy and said he hasnt been but to 1 game since he left.
So some guy (who liked Saban) who has seen 1 game since he left LSU doesn't feel good about the program's direction? Damn your OP is looking stronger and stronger.
And how long did this guy play for Saban?

Miles made the right decision with hiring Chavis. I'm sure that weas VERY hard for him to do. He'll make a move at the end of the season. Besides, all fo you were hyped when he hired Crowton.

pay attention to college football long enough and this won't be a surprise to you. Just the nature of the business.

Did he play for Saban for 2 years or was he a bench guy/redshirt?

Im not going to get in a pissing contest with you dude.... Im just stating what an ex player and an all sec player said about one of our coaches. He didnt say anything negative about Miles.... just the fact that he didnt like the direction nor did he act like he cared.

what, are you checking the rosters to try to figure out who it was?

All I asked is if he redshirted during one of those 2 years under Saban or if he started for 2 years under Saban (big difference there).

What relevance does that have other than knowing who it was? He was recruited by Saban, so I imagine he does have some feelings toward him. He said "if you love football, Saban is your kind of coach". He never bashed Miles

FWIW this guy was a starter
So you talked to Carnell Stewart.

BC redshirts who don't play tend to have different opinions of the coaches than the players who start or see significant PT. He may have loved Saban for those 2 years bc he wasn't a key contributor and Saban didn't ridicule him all the time. All I asked is if he redshirted either of those 2 years under Saban or if he was a 2 year starter under Saban. It was a simple question.

Crowton was perfect for the situation we had in 2007. He's got an apparent track record of struggling to develop talented quarterbacks, his stints at LSU and Oregon are pretty consistent in this respect.

tbob hebert shouldn't be an olineman. if so he needs to gain about 30 pounds. if he lost 10-20 pounds hed be a big tightend or linebacker. hes a pretty lean dude

miles has had his chance to be a ceo coach. with the exception of cooper and chavis i would say he has failed horribly while hiring new staff at LSU.
Crowton=fail
McCarthy=mediocre
stud=even more mediocre
yano=still a mystery as far as on the field coaching, but most def. not the equa of henson in recruiting
i'm not even gonna talk about the promotion of mallory and peveto to co dc's.
Don't forget about Earl Lane who was a horrible fail at actually coaching
