The bottom line is the guy runs extremely hard every time he touches the ball and that usually amounts to sucess.

KC, I agree with everything you state here. My point was we really don't know how elusive, powerful and fast he is until he is running against a very good SEC defense. I hope he is that good but we just won't truely know until he faces that competition.

the kids got good vision

one thing i noticed about him that seems promising is that he doesnt need a big hole to open up

he found a path EVERY carry, no matter how small, that i just dont think other backs would see or attempt to take

Fellows,

Ridley ran great in some tiny spaces and made something out of the opportunity. Scott or Williams could not have gotten that many yards in those same holes. He has better vision and cutback at higher speeds. He delivers one hell of a blow also.

It would be a shame not to give him a few carries or 2 series to get warmed up. A steamroller needs a little time to get churning.

I hope we try all and every horse in the stable this weekend and then, once we figure out which one works the best in the situation...take off the reins.

Ridley is the closest thing to Collins I have seen. You either got it or you don't and he has it.IMO. Vision, Balance, Quickness and Power.

I had the same thoughts as well. He does remind me of "the diesel". What a waste of talent that was. Anyway, we have got to get the ball in Ridley's hands more often. Charles Scott is a good back, but this isn't the same Scott we have seen in previous years. I truly feel that Ridley can be a SPECIAL PLAYER for this team.

Ridley does not have Cecil's speed in the forty (Collins was timed under 4.5 and Ridley was low to mid 4.6 before knee injury), but I agree 100% that no back since Collins has looked more like Collins and the #34 only adds to it.

Cecil had more break away ability, but Ridley has more lateral quickness, which was showcased on the TD run against Bama.

Stevan is from my hometown and I hope he has a great career.

Umm, yes he was. His big runs against Georgia and Alabama show why scouts consider him perhaps the top Senior big back prospect in this class. He made Bama's safety Woodall look like a pussy trying to tackle him on that run.

It's not Scott's fault that Miles screwed up his offensive line.
