Well Hell, what makes you think that? I guess it could be close if they play WAY above their level. But they're gonna have to play way, way, WAY above their level to have a chance of winning.

Day game. Advantage Vols. LSU still wins, though.

I refuse to be cocky. I will not jinx my beloved Tigers. There is already enough bad karma affecting this game.

Agreed. The goal of most offenses is to score points. The goal of our offense is to not turn the ball over and try to force teams to punt to Patrick Peterson.

Our offense guarantees we will never be really done with the game until well into the second half.

I understand why you're saying that but have you considered that maybe with the way our defense plays we don't need a big lead to close out a game? I mean was anyone really worried on either of WVUs last two possessions?
They looked done to me.

Have you even watched us play this year? We've been winning every game at halftime, then we run out of juice. What makes you think you're offense will tire us out?

Because that's what always happens to us. Everybody wants a signature win against LSU.

LSU turnovers and penalties will be the only things that could keep Tennessee in the game.

Yes, that's because we've been up against Oregon and Florida's offense's, you know, one's that can score? I'm asking you what makes you think you're offense can wear us down?

I think we'll be more effective running the ball than either Florida or Oregon. AND as I'm sure you know; long, time consuming drives will tire out a defense. We've worn out every defense we've faced this year. I don't see Tenn. having any better luck considering their depth issues.

That's a pretty BOLD statement.

If Jefferson throws on 1st and 2nd like he has been, we won't be on the field to long. If you guys can have long sustaining drives, that's where the game will be won for LSU.

I know. But I do believe Miss. St. and WVU will prove to be more physically strong defenses up front than what Tenn. can field. I might be wrong but we'll know soon.

Actually the problem in my opinion is that we havn't been throwing it on 1st or 2nd down. We wait until the opposing DC knows we have to pass.
