Everyone is welcomed to the join the Austin Krewe of LSU. We are just a group of Tiger friends. We are going to Shiner Saloon in the middle of downtown. You would want to scooter/uber/bike to the game.

I am in Austin twice a month. The best place to get NOLA/Saints/LSU/Pelicans atmosphere is Shoal Creek Saloon on Lamar downtown. This place will be packed with LSU fans - get there early.

I had a buddy tell me that his company was putting on a tailgate and that the "tents" are numbered. Is that normal? Is there a specific area that is designated for tailgating?

Yes, my company had a tailgate set up close to the LBJ lawn last year for the USC vs ut game.

It's waaay better than in 00's, but even with it vastly improved, it is faaaar from LSU and SEC tailgating.

Red areas on this map most likely. That's the "set up for you", mostly corporate tailgate area.
