Unfortunately, I just broke off a relationship with someone whose son has had trouble with drugs. It just got to be too much. God Bless all of you who have family members addicted to drugs and are dealing with this national tragedy. It's an awful thing.

DocHog,
Thanks for the wonderful story and I'm so glad your son made it and is doing well now. All the best to him and I hope he continues to prosper in Red Stick and gets his Master's.
Much luck to your family and congratulations....

St Chris was wonderful. He was there until about 2 months ago and is now in a sober living environment that is outstanding.
He has an outstanding sponsor, recently landed a great job, and appears to have completely bought in to the program.
We are blessed
See y'all when the Hogs come to town.
WPS, brothers. God Bless and ....

One day at a time... Best wishes to your son's continued recovery. Sober life is such an easier and happier life. I'm glad he's realized that.

This is the absolute best thing i have ever read on the rant.
As someone that had to choose to keep drinking or live, i chose to die. God gave me another chance (or 10) and i finally realized sobriety is wonderful.
I will never be critical of you drinkers, i just cant do it.

I'd bet you do. Y'all were amazing for him, and he has continued to do very well since he left. He was undoubtedly ready to take that next step to real life.
He is a St Chris success story. No regrets about sending him there.
