About LSU's dispostion with NO area talent: I'm going to laugh hysterically if Felix and gathers commit to LSU (if gathers doesn't decide to go to a east coast feeder school, of course). If LSU loses out on both, then I'll be just as critical on TJ as I was on Brady on the recruiting trail

Well no shite voogd wouldn't be on this team. I was commenting on the "talented" group of oos guys you listed. I was referring to Chris Johnson, again, responding to your oos list. Dunn, Carter, and white aren't from the NO area. There are more, but I'm not going to "google" on my iPhone right now the players who have left this state for other FBS schools
Voogd's eligibility would have ended last year. No school can sign every talented player in it's state every year. There are scholarship limitations and some players just want to go away to school. Sometimes academics can play a role( see Bo McCabe).
Brady and staff signed just about every recruit they really wanted in the state except in the New Orleans area. The only three players of consequence LSU has ever signed from New Orleans are Jordy Hultberg, Randy Livingston and Duane Spencer, so it is irrelevant who was coaching the N.O. players were going out of state.

I am clinically insane, thank you! And Spencer does not need to be on the floor. You approve of his shooting air balls all the time?
You do realize he only had 2 turnovers tonight and was our leading scorer correct? I realize he had a poor game, but no one looked better.

Who is brady's biggest recruit instate that isn't from the baton rouge area? It isn't a flame. I'm just curious. I'm only seventeen, so I don't know every detail about brady's tenure at LSU. What I do know is that he "dropped the ball" by letting some great ayers leave. As I stated earlier, he wodve never been fired if he wouldve just locked down the state

The biggest is Stromile Swift. He also signed Antonio Hudson, Torris Bright, Darrel Mitchell, Brad Bridgewater and Juemichael Young.
Why does it matter that he signed several from the BR area if that was where the talent was from? Does the Mempphis coach have to apologize for all of teh players signed from Memphis? If Brady had not signed the BR players he would be roundly criticized for that.
Gotta remember that half of his tenure he recurited either under NCAA investigation or with a program under draconian NCAA sanctions.

You give Brady a pass for not signing talent out of the New Orleans area because those players would have left the state no matter who was coaching LSU. The argument many make regarding the Baton Rouge talent is that they would have signed with LSU regardless of the coach, as well.

I just hear most people retaliating to your comments on brady's recruiting in LA by saying that the temple crew was "gift-wrapted" to Brady, which is true. I forgot Mitchell was from Lafayette( I think?). I thought swift was from br.
anyways, while most posters here do discredit his accomplishments at here, he did it to himself by not carrying the momentum of 2006 onward. I'm out. You make valid points on a lot of cases, but II respectively disagree on your lauding of brady's coaching ability. We wouldt have beaten butler, and UNC wouldve ran a Brady-coached team out of the gym last season. Good nite

There is truth in what you have stated. However, over the years there have been more good players from BR who signed elsewhere than New Orleasn players signing with LSU. Keith Smart, Bobby Phills, Ledell Eackles, Tom Curry Jeremy Jacobs,Don Chaney, John (Fred) Gourrier, Butch Pierre to name a few. So those BR players were not a lock for Brady.

Why not just have labeled the thread's title "Calling T20, Bad Cat, Beatles, Bobby Moore,etc..?"
Brady threads..like bees to pollen.
Besides the above mentioned Johnson lovers, who else has responded to this thread?
Trent Johnson's days at Coach Hater U. are numbered.
