Called it Oklahoma Drill when I was in high school... High energy drill, gets players fired up. Some may worry about injuries but it is football. They need it!

J Williams looked good in that drill too..Ridley has 20lbs on Jones..better get more physical than that if he's going to be our "big" back...

right, bull in the ring is just one guy standing in the middle of a circle and taking one one or multiple people coming to him as the coach calls. oklahoma/big cat is just one on one. and like it has been said earlier, this drill is common for nearly any level of football so the attention is a little unwarranted.

bull in the ring was a head butt drill back in the old days, and has been outlawed in high school (I think). The Oklahoma drill we ran had both guys laying on their back, to start, and the coach tossing the ball to one of them. He was the ball-carrier and the other was the tackler.

i like it, and i think we will see a very physical team this fall.
I bet nicky will read this and walk across the street to the SEC officials office and grill them on unnecessary roughness calls this fall when we play them.

The videos on Tigerbait show the guys getting after it and the team really fired up. Also on yesterdays video you can see Miles in the middle of it fired up.

What I would pay to see some of the former Tigers doing this drill.
Bowe vs Laron
Hester vs Steltz
Quinn vs Luke
Big Herm vs Dorsey
