Dude those beat Bama shirts were there before Saban. It rhymes is why it's a shirt. I had one I got in 2004 and wore it both times we traveled to Tuscaloosa. Ignorant arse post

Well not rhyme but you get it

We should but people expect one every year. Why fire a good coach whose boneheaded if we can't get a better hire? Hasn't les defeated saban more than any head coach out there. It's really simple if you want lsu to go to a title game every year either lsu goes to another conference or saban leaves bama and goes somewhere else not in the sec.

Redundant statement is redundant.

If by jealous you mean hate, then yes.

Pretty sure Saban is known for hanging up posters and playing losses on loop in the locker room and weight room in the offseason until the revenge game

I guess he shouldn't do that, his mentality should be to beat every team not just revenge on teams he lost to the previous season

Like our mentality isn't to beat any team?

Your apparel shite is stupid btw, you can find "beat_____" pins and shirts for pretty much any SEC team. Hell I've seen beat ULL

He is technically right we did beat every team, just that team beat us in the rematch when mattered most.

Two of those were Mike Shula, another Saban's first year.

This. Miles is good at covering his arse at the expense of the players he supposedly cares about.

I'm not saying it did, but even during the Schula years Alabama fans never wore "Beat LSU" shirts. I'm saying that the LSU fanbase's mentality needs to change, and the "BEAT BAMA" shirts are just an artifact of the mentality we need to get rid of.

i will throw mine away. even the beat bama again!

this is socratic philosophy! great logic.!

Will be interesting to see the reaction when a younger less-experienced Bama team closes the deal on them to take/preserve a win in the last minute.

In the CFP era, Bama is less important as long as they're ranked. Whether we win or lose, it won't mean anything in terms of the playoffs as long as it is a hard fought contest. What LSU cannot do is give up a game to anyone else especially a bad team in conference.

Going forward, Bama should be a huge game, but not a back-breaker in terms of competing for a national championship.

Baylor may win their conference, but if TCU wins impressively this Saturday, they may be representing that conference even though Baylor will be playing #12 ranked KSU.

We were a better program than BAMA when Saban started at BAMA.... They caught up quickly and have stayed dominant while we have regressed. Who is to blame for that, the culture? Or the coaches?

The Biggest Issue with LSU "culture"
Let me preface this by saying, I hate Alabama as much as anyone on this board. I was at the game this year, and if anyone would of yelled "Row Tie" at me I probably would have lost it.

But the biggest problem with the LSU fanbase is the "BEAT BAMA" shirts. If we want to be on the same level as that program in Tuscaloosa this needs to stop. I have never, not once, seen an Alabama fan wearing a beat LSU shirt. It seems like we're much more concerned about them than they are about us.

LSU fans need to get over the loss we had in the NC a few years back, it happens, move on, realize that we will have one of the most talented teams we've ever had next year. Honestly, if we get ANY production out of the QB position, we will beat anyone we play.

Also, Geaux Tigers

You nailed this right on the head. I live and work with alabama fans, as well as have a few friends that are alabama fans. These guys can give a rats arse about LSU. Besides "TGOTC" LSU is and always will be just another game. It will be a tough game, and they seem to have more respect for LSU than other teams. Believe it or not, all of the corndog jokes come from Auburn fans (that I know). They seem to have more of a problem with LSU than BAMA.......

This is just what I have observed in the past 1 1/2 years of living here.

Yep. The alliteration is strong.
