Yes that is the issue, the Key position on the Team has been continually and repeatedly mishandled, and will continue on the same path as long as Miles is here.

We were a better program than BAMA when Saban started at BAMA....

MYTH!! we went into Tuscalooser, the year before NS was there, and they were undefeated, and ranked #3 in the country. We beat them, and their season spiraled from there.

By all means, Google "beat lsu t-shirt", and realize that your post is worthless.

This is like saying you should hate Satan, Nazis or Al Quada because Auburn fans are right. Bama is worst than all three combined.

The OP really hit the nail on the head.

I love Alabama. I can also say with absolute regard that Alabama fans respect LSU as an opponent because they are a prominent road block annually to our lofty aspirations.

We look forward to the LSU game every year, but for a different reason. It's solely because you are a worthy opponent. If Texas A&M, for example, was the program that gave us fits year in and year out, we'd hold them in the same regard as y'all now.

We don't hate you. We just acknowledge you as a solid opponent, who every other year, plays host to the loudest group of fans I've ever heard.

For whatever reason, Alabama's record in TS has historically been nothing short of remarkable. Considering your overall record at home since 2008 (Saban's first game back) is as good as it is, his 3-1 mark has got to be what aches the most.

It helps us against Alabama, and hurts us afterwards. I don't think it's as big of an issue as our inability to field a decent offense more often than once or twice a decade.

You and the OP are equally wrong, imho. T-shirts are printed about everything under the sun (just ask Ole Miss) and it has zero to do with what happens on the field.
During the current football era, Saban left here and ended up there. He brought a level of success that reignited the arrogance of the fanbase that lives vicariously through the football team.
Bama was granted a rematch a couple of years ago that, let's just say, didn't turn out so well for our team. There are reasons for LSU fans wanting desparately to kick the shite out of Bama that are just not reasonably reciprocated. So the fact that you may not get, understand or return the feelings toward LSU changes nothing.

it's natural to hate your rival who has beat you 4 times in a row and someone who steals talent from your school and recruits directly against your team. And it's OK to express that through T-shirts. This trend is rampant in every program on every level in every sport. Every program/franchise has a "Beat (team)" shirt. for example, almost every team that the Lakers play in the playoffs in the past had a "Beat LA" shirt.

hell, I still have a "beat Tennessee shirt" from the women's basketball golden days.
get over it

As a culture, though, y'all are better than this. I know Bama sticks particularly in your collective craws for perfectly legitimate reasons -- the national titles and the rematch game being the most obvious -- but LSU has had scary amounts of talent and far too much success to debase themselves by focusing so heavily on one rival, even if that rival happens to be Bama. Y'all don't respect Arkansas or OM for their obsession with you; why should you give Bama fans a reason to see you the same way? You're better than that, and now that football culture has truly been awakened in LA, you will continue to be better than that. It's not about t-shirts. Those are just symptomatic. It's about defining yourselves by your own standards rather than measuring yourselves against another program. That's what Bama does, and you're damned well entitled to do so yourselves after all your success.

Bama is at the top of college football and have been for a while. why would they bother obsessing over other schools? I guarantee if they were in Arkansas or Ole Miss' shoes they would have the same mentality and print these T-shirts that are synonymous for hating bigger programs

They have tons of shirts like that.
