You will see a dramatic bump in the performance of the young gun running back’s. Testosterone is a wonderful thing…

I think it will happen but not as severe as people might think

I think it's going to be a pretty big drop off. We put up ALL TIME great numbers and our red zone percentages were absolutely insane. Burrow and CEH will not be easy to replace, mostly Burrow's intangibles.

With that said, I still think our offense will be very dangerous and put up a lot of points.

"People. Might. Think." Can you explain or quantify your opinion on this? What is the severity of drop off people are thinking? And the severity of drop off you are thinking? Compare and contrast please

We were close two years ago to only having 1 loss. Myles Brennan will do awesome in his first year as long as the O-Line stays healthy. Remember that Joe Burrow was not JOE BURROW his first year.

We all know there will be a drop-off. And the question everyone is asking is how much of a decline will there be? I can tell you this - LSU 2019 was completely unexpected to me. I am so conditioned to be letdown in at least one game every season, that I kept waiting for it to happen and it never did. I am still stunned and in awe of that team and will remain so for the rest of my life. I am not going to be unrealistic with my expectations. I think we'll be well above average on offense. I am anticipating improvements on defense and the running game and I am OK with that.

Have to expect a decline without Burrow, but this team could easily have the #1 O in the SEC with the RBs, WRs & a good transition year from Brennan.

With all the weapons at wide receiver, tight end, and running back, that will be on the field at one time plus Myles Brennan, I think LSU will still be the number one offense in the SEC in 2020.

Now, of course, they won't be as good as last season's record-breaking 2019 team, but college football may never see another team that productive ever again.

Even if you assume that Brennan has as much talent as Burrow, there will still be a significant drop off in production.

One known difference between Burrow 2019 and Brennan 2020 is that Burrow 2019 had Burrow 2018.

That year of experience made a huge difference for Burrow.

Oh, really? You think that after the best offensive year of all-time that there might be a slight dip next season? That qualifies as the most Captain Obvious thing I've ever heard.

Because we did not have a dynamic offensive scheme. If Brady's offense would have been installed for 2018 season it would have been much better than E's offense. Its the system where Burrow's talent was showcased

Assuming these responses are indicative of the whole fan base, it’s pretty stunning to me to see those expectations. The loss of 8 starters on offense is assumed to be no big deal? It will be almost an entirely new offensive team with several new coaches and analysts led by a QB who has never started a college game. To assume it will only be slightly less productive than the best college offense of all time is unrealistic to say the least.

However, I keep coming back to this one hypothetical: What team do you think will have the SEC's #1 offense next year? I genuinely believe that we are probably the best bet to be the answer to that question.

If you're being honest, Bama has as good a chance as anyone. I think Bama and LSU will have the 2 best offenses.

Brennan going to give people a good reason to know remember that name for something besides food.

He's going to work his arse off with receivers in off season as burrow did. Chase is back and there will be other studs at the position.

We might surprise again on offense.

By no means is he a unknown! The coaches know what they have, he was actually higher rated then JB when he came out of HS. My only question is he able to escape pressure and does he have the drive to succeed that JB has?

I don't think they should be much of a drop off in the offense except maybe for the playcalling with Brady now gone. If Ensminger will do the playcalling then we'll see just how efficient he is now that Brady isn't by his side, a lot of people were questioning who was doing the playcalling throughout the season, well we'll see now.

but Brennan is not Burrow, he has a rocket for an arm and did get some game experience this past season. Now if he can put it all together like Burrow did this past year he has the weapons around him to have a year like Burrow did. shite, at RB Curry, Price-Davis, and Emery all should come into their own next season just like Edwards-Helaire did, but they are 3 whereas Edwards-Helaire was just 1 back. And at WR Chase, Marshall, along with the other more experienced WR's should be even more effective next season. They'll be NFL level WR's still playing in college, Chase would be a 1st round pick if he could have come out this year, but even though Thad Moss will be gone at TE, you have a kid coming in to replace him that could be LSU's best TE ever, potentially. So, I don't expect much of a drop off in the offense, but I do think Brennan and the playcalling are the key.

I haven't the slightest idea what that's supposed to mean nor do I care, but whatever, man.
