Not worried at all. We get FL at home next year plus we beat just about everybody every year anyways.

I think A&M, Bama, UGA and UF will be a force in the next few years though. AU and UT will throw money at a new coaching staff. It gets harder from here on out. SEC was weak in '11 outside the top two but will rebuild quickly

LSU is in need of a proven and big time OC to match Chavis imo

It's just hard to enjoy a game these days because everyone is pissed we're not perfect every year, shite every play of every game. People are just greedy. They enjoyed the bragging of a Championship and now they're on suicide watch

Lacy

Lacy and sentimore were not offered by LSU. One worked out, the other didnt. Collins hasnt done anything yet, and while bell looked good, hes hurt rt now. But bradly sylve hasnt done anything either and devall will prob be a good one.

Williford isnt terrible and has done way more than anyone not named lacy. Kwon Alexander? Andy Dod?

But i guess we never get guys from bama.

Auburn, Arkansas were better.
Usce and UGA werent that much worse.

We added a shitty mizzou team and picjed up a goid tamu team. Bama and LSU arent as good as last year imo.

You could argue the years are a wash.

And LSU played the bcs champion, rose bowl pac 12 champ, big east orange bowl champ. Schedule was prob harder last year.

We're never going to sink to deplorable Curley Hallman levels under Miles. He recruits too well and motivates too well. But we are never going to ascend to elite levels and win multiple titles in a short time frame either. He's too plodding and predictable.

Nah, there were two very good teams and a whole lot of mediocrity.

All good points there. It's a tough conference and you can't take a rest or make a few mistakes. To keep on top, LSU will have to stay in the top 10 in recruiting and bring in the best position coaches available.

Just because a team was good this year doesn't mean they're back to dominate college football. Speaking of Oregon, they were a lock for the PAC-12 championship. Didn't make it.

Alabama: They could beat some NFL teams. TAMU beat them in Tuscaloosa.

Somebody has been watching too much Chicken Little.

The next few years...
Is anybody else worried about the next few years for Miles and LSU? With Notre Dame up and running, Urban coming off probation, Johnny Manziel and Sumlin, the Oregon Machine, Muschamp up and running at UF, the Bama machine, Hugh Freeze, potential big hires at Arkansas, Auburn and Tennessee.... LSU will always be good, but in my opinion, Miles will need to do a "masterful" job of recruiting and coaching to keep pace with the SEC and National powers...

You are not alone is this line of thinking

The SEC West is the toughest conference in all of college football as it is...

When Petrino was fired, I had a sigh of relief...Now we have Sumlin and Johnny Football to deal with...

UF will be good and UGA will good also, but I think both of these teams break in a new QB next year so that's good..

We have to beat Alabama next year or we don't do anything special..

Who is the elite level. Can there only be one elite level program? I pick us to win against anyone in the country, that's pretty elite.

So whose the perfect, impeccable coach that would not only sustain LSU at its current level, but pick it up and become a dynasty?

Who is this mystery man?

Remember, a coaching change involves new coaches, new schemes, new recruiting pipelines, new everything.

lacour, NO YOU DON'T. you enjoy being critical and negative. if you did not enjoy it sooo much, you would do what your brother does.

and, you know that your brother is not the only one. you are trying to be a stand-out negaturd b/c that is the only way you know. probably a second born that is either the blacksheep or scapegoat.

you (and most negaturds) are trapped in low self esteem and judge yourself by perfection, which can never happen.

you also know that 90% of the ranters are either positive or real. you take the negative because you enjoy being unhappy. you would never enjoy perfection b/c then you could not be critical and negative.
