But the younger fans who have been fans their whole lives should be punished for not being older? fricking stupid. I grew up loving LSU and the Saints and hating Bama and the Cowgirls.

I'm 67 and all I ask of Tiger fans is that they stick around to help us celebrate with the team when the game is over. Those kids beat their brains out on that field and they're looking to us for some validation. I know. I know. That's not the ONLY reason, but no team feeds off its fanbase like LSU. And no fanbase feeds off its team like LSU. Young or old, stick around and help us celebrate.

But anyone around my age or older that is just now an LSU fan is not a real fan.
frick all of this "good for the bottom line" bullshite. I'm not keeping the books or trying to make money off of LSU like Chicken or the like.
I'm a fan and if you are a member of the
then I say go frick yourself. I'll be here as long as I'm breathin. Even if the Tigers are 2-9 with wins over Tulane and UTEP, I'll be in the stands.
But I doubt the same can be said of a great many others.

Sorry the stands were half empty during the 80's and 90's. Blame the fans who were in diapers at the time.
I happened to be living in Syracuse and supporting the Orangemen at the time. Had I known 20 years later I'd have had to pass Lacour's pissing contest to be a fan, I would've sent in for my season tickets then.

I completely agree with that. I know people my age who became fans in 2003 and it pisses me off. I remember 98 and 99 and even though I couldn't go to any games, I still cheers my arse of from the living room.

I'm 28, and it has nothing to do with age. I was at LSU when this gravy train started. We have problems with people who boo, complain after we beat people 40-17, and just generally bitch when things are going fine just to bitch.
Us "real" fans as you call us also understand that we have absolutely no say in what goes on so we enjoy games more than you "rantards".
