Will you never ever post again if the team proves you wrong?

Six games into the season and some of you are losing your minds. Four teams have a better SEC record than LSU. If 2 plays go differently..we are 5-1.

Both the pitching and defense are very good. I'd like to see 3 or 4 more SEC series before trashing our coaches and players.

In our 6 SEC games, we were in all but 1. And we can already tell the predictions of how the SEC will play out were just that...predictions. We are not out of it, we will need to beat some teams that we were not "predicted" to beat though. Geaux Tigers!

please explain the 18-33 record over the last 17 SEC series following the national champ yr in 2009

LSU has regressed hitting wise this year, last year they couldn't hold a lead to save their life and the year before LSU's top pitcher practically missed half the season with his nagging arm injury.

They've obviously been hit hard by the draft in recent years, it's no excuse but it explains why LSU has a lack of "pop" in the bats.

I have a question for you teetime...why is it you magically disappeared after LSU's 23 game winning streak in 08? Ironically you show up after the Nicholls St. loss in 09 and once again give insight on your displeasure with Mainieri. Since then you've come out of your cave from time to time and just recently started litering up the boards again.

Which player were you and what year were you cut?

From my weekly SEC Rant baseball thread ( LINK)...

BA
1. Georgia, .299
SEC AVG., .257
7. LSU, .245
12. Tennessee, .227

I think things could be worse. If LSU hit that poorly the last 2 weekends and is still 7th out of 12 after only 6 games, then I think there's hope that improvement will push LSU toward the top half of the conference's offensive statistics.

FWIW, Auburn is now ranked #24 by Collegiate Baseball.

it's different in baseball. it's more of an individual team sport. running the football is only possible with good blocking and therefore is a team effort. one or two good hitters in a lineup are wasted in the other hitters suck.

Adam..I have zero doubt that Teetime and others that have come out of the woodworks recently are either disgruntled players that were cut by PM or family members of said player.

College baseball has more parity than any other sport. And to have such vitriol towards a man like PM.. Who has won coach of the year awards three different years..and won a NC for LSU less than 3 years ago..is simply crazy.

Is he above criticism? Of course not...but let's be realistic
