My favorite Gold Game I've seen was 2003 vs. Auburn. It was on ESPN and looked simply amazing. And we blew the doors off of them.

I think the gold game is going to be great. its going to be sold out, 2 top 10 teams, Nat' Champ implications, all gold, saturday night in tiger stadium...i can't help but get pumped up about it...

I can't wait. But I think the only way the stadium will be entirely gold, is if the marketing department hands out shirts at the gate/puts shirts on the seats.

thats what i'm thinking. the only way to attempt to have everyone in gold is by putting shirts on the seats. some people may still refuse but it's the only way to almost have everyone in gold

I own Gold shirts, as do most LSU fans. It would amaze me that somehow an LSU fan wouldn't own atleast one. I wear and partake in the Gold Game because if people actually wore them it would look great on tv...
Sad fact is it doesn't work and I seriously doubt that it's a marketing problem.
My theory:
Those that wear purple on Gold Day: Guys with mOObs think that light colors display too much bulge, they stick with the purple.
Those that wear White on Gold Day: Too superstitious to change their gameday shirt or really just too selfish to sacrifice the profuse sweating in 104 degree heat for the team. Tisk Tisk
Those that wear all other NON LSU colors: GTFO of Tiger Stadium and go to the bar down the road, there is a Damn strong football game going on here.
