Agreed most of them are built around senior laden teams. But what is this team built around......(cricket cricket) exactly NOTHING! that's the whole point of this thread. His teams have no strategy, no fundamentals, no discipline, they have nothing! That's coaching not talent and if you blame it on the players for nor having those attributes it's TJ who decides who to offer scholarships. I've tried to support TJ and I always will support whoever LSU has because I want to see them win but I don't see it from this guy I really don't! Hope I'm wrong and he proves me wrong but he's shown nothing to say otherwise.

everyone that says wait til next year has no basis for that other than "our players will be older" there is nothing that TJ is doing to give us hope next year

we may be good next year somehow, but that won't be because TJ is installing good fundementals this year or discipline, it would be an act of God

Not it's based on the hope that O'Bryant and Hamilton can provide more consistent scoring, rebounding, defending, and shot blocking than what we currently have. And considering it's hard to be even worse than this year considering they all return so at least we'll just be "as bad". ha

Here's my problem and I really don't know how coaching could stop this from occurring. Maybe recruiting could have but that's another story.

Turner and Derenbecker are our best players offensively, but both are not the best perimeter defenders. We lack athleticism to defend the perimeter against every team we play. No amount of coaching is going to change that. But these two guys provide us with our more consistent scoring threats, unfortunately, they live primarily on the perimeter. So we shoot well from outside in the last game and are competitive. We don't, and we get blown out.

Our defending is what kills us though IMO.

We didn't let Brady hold J'Mison Morgan hostage during his last year. I get the feeling a lot of people are kind of doing that with O'Bryant which is the very basis for unreal expectations. It's starting to look more and more like this should be TJ's last year. His attitude on the sideline is hard to justify. He has, "frick it, I give up," written all over him.

It's one of the two and he's responsible for both of them, good or bad.
