He brought excitement, but we don't need him this year. We get him back next year so we can repeat!

Dude was a playmaker. Nose for the ball. when we needed it, he found a way to make it happen.

Thank you. I'm new at posting, but my first game wad 1967 Sugar Bowl at Tulane. I was 6, which makes me 51 or 52, I hope 51. It was raining and all I remember is the Golden Girls. True story.

How many returns did TM have ALL of last year? I'll wait on the stat.

Further, how many people were hounding his coverage?

It's funny that at midseason last year he was overrated, and now he's so missed.

Couldn't agree more. I've thought about him a lot during our first 4 games, especially last week during Auburn.

Dude was a certified fricking baller and left everything he had on the field each and every play.

I think he created a defensive attitude about making plays, made the entire Defense better. A swagger, a personality.

Well said.

It's weird how much he is missed. Our defense is still great, awesome. But missing that RADICAL factor that TM brings. He added another dimension to an already great defense. Shutting an offense down? Cool. Forcing freak turnovers and putting offenses into the neg - TM.

Damn I miss that dude. And that IS IN NO WAY any neg about our defense without him - they are beasts.

He had 27 returns for TDs? Man. It's a wonder he didn't win the heisman

Eta: do y'all really think the TO margin would be as big. With or without TM?

TM's best quality was his open field tackling. People rave over lots of others aspects but this was his strong suit in my opinion. Flys to the ball and makes the solo tackle in the flat for 0 extra yardage.

That said I think Jalen Mills is turning out to be our best cornerback. Seems the freshmen are solid and the seasoned veterans are making most of the mistakes.

We definitely missing a playmaker on this team. No Mo, PP, TM somebody please step up. I think Sam M. Did take a step last week though.

This the reason why I believe he will be a safety in the NFL. He is Troy Polamalu like.

Did you really just compare him to Polamalu?
Christ. The guy was a good play maker, but this is just absurd.

well we kind of said the same thing after his freshman year. And he totally shattered that train of thought.

The guy forces chaos to the offensive side of the ball. He was the best defensive player in the country, so for you to suggest that we don't miss him is absurd.

I don't know how many punt returns he had on the year, but he scored almost every time LSU needed him to since we were rarely down

idiots hounded his coverage. He took chances here and there, but he was solid in coverage, a great tackler, and the best LSU has ever had at forcing turnovers
