This makes a lot of sense for Sark. A powerhouse program NOT in the same conference as Saban. We all know Saban will not be defeated by his past helpers. Lol
If you’re going to have to play him, better be for a championship.. otherwise you may not get the chance as shown in the BCS/Miles era when we would play them in regular season, lose and that be the loss that keeps us from the championship.
Thankful for the playoffs.

Texas will owe Herman $15M and a total of $24M including his staff.

Who would've bet that Ed O would win a championship at LSU and go 15-0 and Herman get fired with no CFP appearances? That's crazy

Just a few years ago, Texas felt really good about things, and most of us felt like we were 2nd fiddle once again.

I’ll take where we are. And more good days comin’...

You can’t hand Sark the keys to a program, see USC.

Just goes to show you that what people think here isn't worth 2 cents.

They better find a way to keep Sark away from 6th street.

Exact same thing was said about Orgeron and whether he has long term success or not look what they got out of it.

Not to mention the mentor ship Sark received under Saban.

You may eat those words.

Herman brought their program back to respectability after the Charlie Strong disaster with winning records every year and bowl wins in every year, but he hasn't met expectations. Although they only lost like 5 games by double digits in his time there and never were beaten by 20+ points, that ain't what Texas was looking for.

It looked promising after they beat UGA in the Sugar Bowl after his 2nd year, but they just haven't done anything special since then. He's a decent coach, but didn't meet the expectations. I thought he would do better there, but he seemed immature for the job.

Texas opens up with ULL next year.
The Cajuns are going to be good with many upperclassmen.
They will be ready to run Sark out of there after the first game.

Don’t care what you think of him if you don’t think his offenses as tOSU UH and Texas were good you’re crazy.

I suspect he will get another HC gig somewhere fairly soon - maybe not a P5 job, but somewhere. Plus, after playing and shunning LSU the way he did, I don't think they are going to be in any hurry to give him a job now.

That was a Alleva.

If O wants to hire “top coordinators” there is no better OC available right now.

It’s January 2nd. January 1st must not have met our longhorn standards.
