Just so you'll know, similiar things were said about John Parker Wilson for several years at Bama. Yep

Tru that! And JPW still is not that impressive.

Besides the fact JJ has better poise in the pocket, throws a better ball, is not afraid to throw it away or tuck and run i pretty agree lee is better.

I like you. Seriously, this should be said more around here. Thanks for having my back, and if you're ever in the B'ham area, let me know! My love of cooking actually rivals my love for LSU sports!

Ditto and thanks for being objective and supporting the team. Too many people around here getting all emotional and chosing sides in this thing. All of our recent successes have led to a pretty spoiled fan base I'm afraid.

Physical skills or not...when you are the QB of an undefeated and #1 ranked team...you ARE impressive.

Jefferson has the swagger and demeanor on the field that Lee does not. That translates to the other players (especially the skill guys)

Actually lead our team to scoring enough points to win.

how many td's did Lee have? How many did JJ have?

I was comparing games played...

not just in one game. and don't start with the "what ifs" about JJ not playing more in earlier games.. If Ole Mrs. had his number that fast in one game, then how quickly would the USCe and Gumps defenses figured out how to shut down the JJ train??? I'm trying to say that BOTH (or even all 3) QBs have given their best, and while they are all different, should be appreciated for what they DID, and not pitted against each other on the message boards like fighting dogs or something. Geez!

But it doesn't translate to points or wins. Hey, if JJ learns, develops and becomes successful- I'll be the first to celebrate. But right now all that means is he helps us to "look better" losing.

apparently neither does walking with your head down and having zero poise.

JJ played pretty decently for not getting hardly as many reps in practice all season as Lee and not knowing he was gonna play until about 1 minute before.

"Decently"? Maybe. Truthfully both of them should be holding a clipboard and watching and learning. When things went down like they did, Hatch and Lee were our best options. Lee has shown flashes of brilliance coupled with flashes of patheticness-just as tons of RF do. Jefferson could have been a nice option to turn to but he simply didn't know enough of the playbook to turn to him. When we were forced to go to him, it proved pretty much what most expected. He's big, fast, and athletic. He looked good under center and did a few nice things. But his limited knowledge of the playbook led to OM shutting down our offense totally in the 4th quarter. Neither is ready and both should be given a chance to compete for the QB position in the future, as they will....if our spoiled fan base doesn't totally kill both of the kids confidence before next season.

Name one thing that Lee does better than JJ besides the deep ball.

Lee throws a terrible deep ball.
he's not Peyton Manning. quit trying to throw line drives and make the perfect pass 50 yards down the field. there's only one qb in the world that throws like that and he plays for the colts.

i don't understand why he does that, get some air under the ball. if our more athletic reciever, which i think everyone can agree our receivers are more athletic than any CB's, can't come down with the ball, especially when some are 6 inches taller than the DB, then i think we would all bitch at the recievers instead of the qb.
