miles deserves praise this year, but let's not go off the deep end and say that he's the best when he's not.

you can try to rationalize it to yourself all day long, but he's not even the best in his own conference, or division.

and that's no slight on miles because he did a great job this year. there's that one other coach that is just better, plain and simple.

Miles is 3-3 against that coach, and unless something major happens, will be favored in the next two games. In the last five years, Miles has more wins than that coach, and I believe Miles will have more wins than that coach in the next five years.

All that while being a man of character and class, two things Saban sorely lacks. And before the Lee knighters come in and say anything about lacking class for not playing Lee, J Lee said the other day, very sincerely, that he and Les are good friends, and he respects Les as a person and a coach.

How can a LSU fan have Tulane in thier name? My daughter borrowed a Tulane shirt from a friend. I threw it away. Just saying.

LSU is loaded with talent. If Mett is the savior for next year he was better than JJ this year because JJ couldn't start for most lower con. teams. Miles is a mediocre coach with great talent and thats about it.

We should praise les miles for yesterday

For having to fly to Houston to talk one of our supposed leaders from quitting the team? How muchs did this flight cost LSU? He shouldn't have to fly all around trying to talk our players back.

Alabama was built to win this year, and they will not be in contention in 2012 and 2013.

Just like LSU was not going to be in contention this year? You cannot really say that. McCarron was a sophomore and played lights out Monday. I am sure Bama has some good players on the bench on defense much like LSU.

I would not be so fast to count them out.

You do realize you dumb fking Greenie Wienie, that Bama's kickers did have something to do with that victory. Bama certainly moved the ball around enuf to whip our azzes and should of...Saban was missing a couple of guys as well. We were dam lucky to win that game period!

Bama's title this year should have an asterisk. They did not deserve to be in the NC Game. They won, but they did not earn their spot in the NC Game. The only reason they were in it was media bias, a media that is pushing for a playoff. But out of the same mouth of the pro-playoff media came a decision to put into the NC Game a team that lost what everyone believed to be a playoff game, the first LSUBama game in which the loser should have been eliminated. Alabama was given a free spot in the NC Game by the media based entirely on an argument of potential, not merit, over a more deserving OK State team that had a much more impressive resume. Both the bowl system and the playoff system were injured by the inclusion of Bama this year. Potential is never an argument when an award is merit based.

youre a little late with this thoery....even tho I totally agree. However, its a moot point now.....the damage is already done. We cant sit around and subjectively ponder why Bama was in the game. They got in, the stars aligned for them like they did for us in 07. WE need to fix some glaring weaknesses and move on.

He may be a doofus, but he's our doofus. Maybe he learned from Monday night and the prep leading up to it. We can only hope he never puts the fanbase through that kind of embarrassment again.

It could be worse. We had Hallman and Archer.

It could be worse.

Saban only led LSU to one NC Game. Les has led LSU to two.

Is there another one who has give LSU more success while remaining loyal to LSU when greener pastures called??

He's the best for me, all things considered, and it's not even close, but others can pant after anyone they have a want to.
