mainieri said in an interview with buddy yesterday that watkins was not 100% and that watkins told mainieri that he didnt feel right. he said that watkins cannot fully extend that elbow and it is more of a problem for him when he is in the field. he didnt directly say watkins was done for the remainder of the year, but he did make it sound like its going to be katz for the rest of the ride. it was the first time in a while i was glad i actually listened to songys show.

I'd like if both guys can get post season reps. I was skeptical of Katz, but he showed why he's wearing the uniform. I hop he keeps up his intesity. As for Watkins, I'm thinking it has more to do with the heath of his elbow than just getting his timimg back. I just dont wanna see him reinjure it. Kudos to both though. Good pickups IMO.
