Troy is equivalent to an Ole Miss is strength, both about 70 in Sagarin rankings.
27 point spread sounds right, 30 maybe. They are a Div 1A Team.
This is turning out to be a GREAT TUNE-UP slate for LSU, getting to see these gimmick spread-Os so early in the season ... add NT next week and we're READY for old Big Ears and the Chop Blocks on the Plains of Auburn.

Don't expect a spread of 27 or 30....look to more around 18. Collegefootballpoll.com has LSU at 11.5 pt favorites. Whatever it comes out at, since 2001 (when Troy became FBS), Troy has only missed covering the spread in 2 games against BCS teams. That's out of about 24 games

LSU scores 40+ in this game...

And Troy will score 30+ in the game.
Last year against Arkansas we scored 26
against Florida we scored 31
and against Georgia we scored 34
Avg pts per game last year (all season) - 34

Absolutely not! With all due respect there is no way in hell Troy score 30+ points on our D. I don't see 30+ points getting put up on us all year (unless we have injuries). We had a couple missed assignments is the reason why App St scored any. I don't think Troy will get so lucky.

troy lost all their skill players from last year, and will get their arse handed to them. they dont impress me and aren't even picked to win the sun belt.

Troy fans are cool. They are excited about their team because they have been general winners at every level they have ever played football. For the most part they don't expect to get blown out by any team.

Being excited is one thing, saying you are going to score 30+ is insane!!

Not to Troy fans, they scored 30+ in almost every game last year, and they played three SEC teams.
Edit: But I know what you mean, Troy most likely won't break 20 in this game.

app state had alot of talented skill players on offense troy has ZERO, troy might be lucky and score 7 points once our 3rd string is sent out there.

Troy is a joke just like all of the first 3 games out of conference. They are easy wins, but surely are a false sense of security when the real competition starts.

You would think that these fan bases of the smaller schools would learn their lesson. Every damn one of ya'll comes over here predicting 30 plus points on LSU's defense.
What in Sam Hill makes you think that you can score more against LSU than Florida, Ohio State, Auburn, or Tennessee?
For once, I wish these fans would be realistic.
