Aub played in the last nc game. And A&M had a Heisman winner. Our offense is the worst in 40 years,

Auburn played in the National Championship game, last year, this year they are losing 3-4 games

A&M doesn't win though. Their offense doesn't give their defense any time to rest. they are in the 90-100s in time of possession. They will win some games, and put up numbers, but they won't ever have a rested defense and that is going to cost you games consistently.

What is really obvious, Sammy boy, is that you have drunk deep of the pumper kool-aide.

No, I hate JJ. I hate that he was playing, i blame him for a lot of horrible things.

That being said I just also had JL.
They both sucked, and it bothers me that people actually think JL would have made a difference.

Him and BeeFense have kind of a Sam and Dianne thing going on. It's pretty cute, not gonna lie.

He must be a psychic then because OK St didn't lose for another 2 weeks along with other things playing out

They mentioned a rematch directly after 11/5/11. Playing Bama again was never out of the question

It was literally the worst coaching job in history at that level.

It's actually pretty close. Virginia Tech basically going ultra crazy aggressive in '99 and FSU being held to 2 points in 2000 were pretty bad. Also, did you happen to watch OU in 2004 against USC? If you watched them, you'd know that there have been plenty of deficient coaching performances.

After JJ's performance against Arkansas, the tide started to shift towards JL and the team began to really fragment.

Why? That Arkansas game was actually one of his better games at LSU.

I call BS on that. If it is true, then JL didn't deserve to play.

the day that he demonstrated that arrogance and stubbornness was more important to him than LSU

IMHO

now history is repeating itself...at least so far.
the game Thursday will tell a lot.

my statement...all based on IFs
IF this is true, I do not blame JL, I do not agree with his ways...but IF Miles asked, "Hey do you want a shot" in that manner, I would have told him to shove it.

Not pulling J J was one of the worst coaching decisions I have witnessed. His arrogance will be his doom.

Uhhh, no.

Does anyone here think that the terms "positiger" and "negatiger" were coined after the bama game?

Even 1-9-12?

Not even close. The smart money has been on him not being a clock manager for a loooooong time. Offenses have not flourished under him.

Where have you been?

JL was historically TERRIBLE against Bama, not just in LSU's first game against them in 2011, but every game he had ever played. JJ was coming off of beating Bama 2 years in a row. Second guessing is great, but when you really think about it, the choice was obvious.

JL threw 1 int at Bama and that was the end of him.

We forget we were 5-0 w JL at the helm
after our thug JJ put us in a very bad position with his actions.

I do not necessarily have a problem with JJ vs JL in that game, but why was a 5-0 starter for the year never heard from again ????

JL folded like a lawn chair under pressure, and our Oline did nothing in the championship game. He couldn't' have done any worse than JJ, but honestly there is nothing to indicate he would have done better.

This is just a dumb myth. JL actually had a ton of clutch plays that year and subbed in in really difficult situations and succeeded/saved our asses. JL showed a ton of mental toughness that year...like maybe all of the hardships he experienced throughout his career made him better/tougher.

He had two bad throws in one game - after 8 games of being undefeated and being the highest rated QB in the SEC - just crazy to treat him the way he was treated post the first Bama game. :bang head:

you are totally right...but Miles surrendered by not even trying...

the fact that JL could pass better, would have (at least initially) caused Bama to back up some...
as it was, they were bringing the house in each and every play.
