Especially if Mettenberger gets here. Lee and Mett next year with Rivers coming in...maybe we could right the ship at QB.

Yeah this thread is worthless. JJ never said he opposed the sytem. He just offered a critique. I am not a JJ apologist but don't put words in the kid's mouth.

No kidding. All he said is that it is difficult (true) but they have to make it work (also true) WTF is everyone getting wound up about? Half the people posted their reactions before there was a link!

Not an apologist either, but people are reading waaaay too much into a simple comment.

Direct quote from Miles. 2 outta 3 examples he listed "spoke" to Jefferson. It would be fair to assume that as of Monday, Miles still saw 2/3 of the plays "speaking" to Jefferson.

If Mile starts and plays JJ for significant time...and he sucks (as we all know he will). And the tigers lose...

Miles may be better off staying in Gainesville.

JJ needs to be benched and never see the field. JL runs the offense. RS runs wildcat and JJ grows up on the bench.

What about special teams?

wow. newest confirmation of jjs attitude. advocat article from today. lee is excited jj blames it for his inability to get in a rhthym. the 2 qb system that is. thoughts?

Rhythm?? What rhythm is that, exactly?

I'm sorry- but judging from the level of play I've seen this season, the ONLY reason the kid is still seeing the field is because we have no depth whatsoever at QB this year....

I did not read that he had an attitude about it. I do think Lee should start, but I have this feeling Les is going to trot JJ out there first on Saturday. We will see

JJ's attitude has been the single biggest disappointment to me so far this season. The fact that twice now he made the comment that he played pretty well. Both came after what was arguably the worst two QB outings we've seen at LSU in 50 years.

This is opposed to JL's attitute which has always been about what is best for 'the team'. The Tenn. game speaks for itself- the 2 QB system worked best & if not for turnovers & penalties, we would have put up a pretty high score. This is compared to the first 4 games, when we painfully watched an offense struggle, in particular, Mr. JJ, who had not 1 but 2 simply terrible games, & you could make an arguement for 4 games.

JJ shouldve been benched the very first game, every high coach knows if your having a shitty day put the next guy in. let him ride the pine for awhile and give him time to think, if he bitches he not a team player!! cheer to win no matter whos in...

This minus the JJ growing up part. He's grown, he's just not competent enough to lead an SEC football team or any other team. The dude can't think. It's like a robot out there

I suggest you read the article first. The OP clearly has a agenda and skewed what JJ said.....figures bunch of frauds on this board nowadays

It's kind of hard do the two-quarterback system and find a rhyme. We just have to find a way to make it work.

In defense of JJ, he's right. Neither QB can find a rhythm when you know you won't play the next series, etc. It's not fair to either of them. I don't see the big deal that some of you are making this out to be.

Having said that JL should be the starter and JJ should only see the playing field if, God forbid, an injury happens.

I agree that his quote wasn't as bad as many here are implying, but still you have to admit he just doesn't have the right attitude.

There was no reason to say something like that, simply say "Lee played well last week and I think we both have certain strengths that we could take advantage of in certain situations".

Is that so hard? Saying anything remotely negative is gonna cause a stir with fans considering he has played like absolute shite.
