Stuff was good , errors killed him and seemed to have some nerves.
Regardless a good experience for him. We need him to be good.

No doubt about that.

He held one of the best hitting teams in check...well done.

Floyd did his job, you’re not gonna win anything scoring 2 runs vs good competition. Hopefully we can rally.

Y’all can keep ignoring facts to pretend he had a good game but in reality it was nothing more than a poor outing at best
It's embarrassing how many people are downvoting such an obvious point. You'd think Ty Floyd were a toddler pitching to 1927 Yankees. People just can't handle anything that doesn't tickle their tummies.

He held them to slightly above their season average in runs. How does that = in check?
How low were the expectations tonight??

Yes they will.

Hilliard is only consistent starter all year. You answered your own question. Floyd did well..
Posted on 5/28/22 at 12:39 am to slackster
I think the premise of the conversation is he didn’t get knocked off the mound in the first. Bar is pretty low for LSU starting pitching.
UT didn’t light him up at any point
We still have the same old issues.. can’t make routine outs, can’t field balls from the pitchers mound. It’s not like they were beating the fence down with extra base hits. Walks and Errors.

They average 9.4 runs per game, how is 5 runs above that average?
Posted on 5/28/22 at 12:41 am to TigerBaitTx
You ain’t beating anybody scoring 2 runs. People wanna blame Floyd and of course that’s the exact opposite of why we’re losing the game. Typical rantards

By the way, how bout some bat support ?

5 runs in 4.2 innings is 9.6 runs per 9.

Wtf are you talking about? He gave up 5 runs not 9.6. We’re dealing in reality not your mental gymnastics.

Vitmeier getting it done as well. BATS !

So because we don't have enough good pitchers, that makes being not good, actually good? That's some gold medal winning mental gymnastics.

I cannot believe this is a serious discussion. You have to be trolling.
Eta - Giving up 9 runs in the first and getting pulled would be “holding them below their average” in your book. Think about that stupidity for a second.

See this is what I’m talking about, we have a ton of incredibly stupid baseball fans. I know the basketball fans get the most heat for ignorance but you’re proving baseball is far far worse. He gave up 5 runs dipshit, he didn’t pitch 9 innings and we didn’t need 10 runs to win the game when he left. Your 9.6 extrapolation theory doesn’t even come close to applying since the final number for him has already been reached and no it’s not “more than their average” it’s almost half of their average. Jesus Christ
