I stay until I'm kicked out.

That's usually sometime in the 2nd quarter.

i will never understand why people leave in a close game, if its a blow out i understand by why go to a movie if your gonna walk out before the conclusion?? baffles me

Just a thought, but in the West Virginia game LSU had pretty much finished scoring with 15 minutes to go and there was almost no chance of getting a new QB in there. So, you were pretty much going to see either:

a) LSU hold on for dear life
b) LSU lose in a most frustrating fashion to an inferior team.

So... if you are not a big JJ or Miles fan and you are not wild about the stomach pains of staring an agonizing defeat in the face and getting worked up so you can't fall asleep for 3 days.... why sit through it? Either LSU wins, which you had already seen the groundwork for, or they blow it and you can read how when you get home... and be much happier as a result.

I don't stop watching LSU games until the end, but I have left other games when the result isn't so critical and I don't want to see the team jobbed by the refs.

In any case, no matter what their reason, the money they paid for the tickets still goes to LSU athletics and they aren't really keeping any true LSU from attending a game.

1. Does she ride a donkey to work or is it required as part of her work?

2. Why did you want to punch her donkey?

I wonder how many of the leave early people are because of baby sitters.
Suppose you get a hs kid to babysit starting at noon, or earlier. Maybe the original focus was on the tailgating and not the game at all. So, they feel they have seen enough, and have to desire to stay any longer.
just a thought

was working with this girl the other day, and we were talking about LSU. We got on the subject of fans leaving early, so i began to tell her about the WV game. As we all know the game was close the entire second half. I went on to say at halftime people were moving in packs to leave the stadium, and i was pissed off about people leaving early and bitching about it. Midway through that, she tells me her, and her husband pretty much leave early EVERY GAME TO BEAT THE TRAFFIC! I pretty much told her I hated her and they need to sell their SEASON TICKETS NOW! I told her there are thousands of fans that want to go and watch the game. WTF is the point of going to the game and not staying, especially when its a CLOSE GAME
Get off your high horse Super fan, fricking idiot

Son, you have more serious problems if you can actually say you "hate" people you do not even know, cause they leave a football game early. Who bought their ticket - you or them? If they paid for their tickets, they can do what they damn well please. This is still america. Get some psychiatric help, before you destroy yourself or hurt some innocent child.

[quote] It's a "STATUS" thing. Your not the "IN" crowd in Baton Rouge unless you go to the game. My wife's sister (OLE MISS ALUMNI) doesn't know shite or care about LSU, but she "HAS" to be at the game. [quote]

"This person pretty much nailed it.

There's no reason for the original poster to get that pi$$ed over it, but I understand the questions it brings. Some people have legit reasoning, but others... There are a number of people that don't really want to go (like the poster above said), but they go just so they can feel like they had something to do and they can talk about how they went to the big game on Monday at work.

But they paid (a number of them anyway) and they can do what they want. It is pretty stupid in a lot of cases, but you should enjoy yourself and not worry about them. There are plenty of people that stay and you should enjoy being with them."

Personally, I don't give a rats frickin A why all these people that leave early do so. Don't know and don't care. I just don't like the way it looks on TV and how it looks to recruits when the attention/status whores that don't really give a shite about LSU leave at halftime/third quarter. Doesn't really effect the sound level in the stadium because all those in the "Early Departure" bunch probably aren't going to be yelling anyway. Yep, it's your money and your ticket to do whatever you please, but that doesn't make it RIGHT to get up and embarrass the university like that.

Once again I'd like to thank the AD/TAF for pricing out so many long time LSU die hards and replacing them with the "Corporates" and the "See and be Seen'ers" that are leaving early........
