Start the bandwagon then boys. Guy was a former 5 star McDonald's All-American.

If they want a soft, underachieving, complainer, then yeah. He was a major reason for the chemistry issues at UConn this year. He and his dad always yapping about how mean Calhoun was. Good riddance.

LSU would have a STOUT front line with Hamilton, JOB and Oriakhi. Seriously would kill on the boards. Just get some guard play and LSU will surely be dancing
Malcolm White had better stats than Oriakhi before he transferred to LSU.

I think a change of scenery would definitely help Oriakhi. Trent Johnson would be out of his mind to reject a player of his caliber regardless of who is currently on the team. Instantly an upgrade of talent that LSU needs to compete with many teams.

We havent been to the tournament in some time... I have a feeling that alone will make him disinterested in coming to LSU

Yeah I think ultimately that will, unless Trent could somehow convince him that LSU has a great chance at making the tournament and prove it by getting an influx of talent. Such as Gathers.

I'd almost bet that kid doesn't even have an invitation to come to LSU now

Doubt Oriakhi wants to come to a team that's a tourney longshot that he wouldn't start for.

I wouldn't say its a longshot. The SEC is awful for basketball and LSU has a solid core returning. They almost made it this year and easily could have won 5-6 more games.

How did this thread make it to two pages? Random.

Everyone has a shot.

I agree with you, but the rumors on the Mizzou board is he's looking at Rhode Island of all things. Would like to get him at Mizzou. We could use the size and apparently he played AAU ball with Pressey.

With Connecticut facing a potential 2013 postseason ban, junior forward/center Alex Oriakhi has decided he'd rather play for a team with a chance to play in the NCAA tournament.
Shouldn't let those players transfer....still would have to sit out a year........

Little Hurley doing work already.
And I think it is stupid to let these guys transfer without penalty. UConn is ineligible for the NCAA tournament because of poor APR. So they let a guy transfer, which could affect the APR.
Hypocritical.

Well he can't forget the tournament if he is going to Rhode Island who was a whopping 7-24 this past season.
