USC's defense wasn't very good in 2007 and the kid passed for 90 fricking yards. AMAZING.

I'm not saying Snead is bad. I think he is good and will probably beat us this year. But Snead also has many more weapons around him.

Locker>Snead. But not by much. I really do think JL is the 2nd best qb we will play this year IMHO

Elleshoe, you can't be serious. Jake Locker put up well over 2000+ yards and another 900 on the ground in his Freshmen year. The kid is proven and he is the best in the Pac-10.

Named the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year ... named a second-team Freshman All-America by rivals.com and a first-team redshirt freshman All-America by collegesportsreport.com ... chosen as the Sports Radio 950 KJR Player of the Year (offense) and also earned the Travis Spring Most Outstanding Freshman Award for offense at the postseason awards banquet ... earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors ... also received Academic All-Pac-10 honorable mention ... set a UW and Pac-10 record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 987 yards ... 987 yards were also good enough to rank second most in a career by a UW quarterback and the most-ever for a freshman ... 3,048 yards of total offense were second-most in UW single-season history ... also established a Pac-10 record for longest pass play with a 98-yard TD completion to Marcel Reece vs. Arizona ... finished fifth in the Pac-10 in rushing with 82.2 yards per game, most by any player who will return in 2008 ... 82.2 yards also ranked No. 51 in the nation and No. 3 among quarterbacks ... fourth in the league and No. 39 in the country in total offense with 254.0 yards per game ... third in the conference in scoring (non-kickers) with 6.5 points per game ... 2,062 passing yards were most ever by a Husky freshman ... started 12 of 13 games at quarterback, sitting out the California game after suffering an injury on a helmet-to-helmet hit the week before at Oregon State ... became just the 19th player in NCAA history to rush for more than 100 yards and pass for more than 300 in a game vs. Arizona, when he ran for 157 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries and threw for 336 yards and two scored on 17-of-30 passing ... both totals were season highs and the single-game total offense of 493 yards was second-most in UW single-game history ... 157 rushing yards were third-most in a game ever by a UW quarterback ... had two other 100-yard rushing games, going for 102 on 14 carries vs. Ohio State and for 103 yards and two scores on 14 attempts vs. Washington State ... had a very good college debut, leading the UW to a win at Syracuse on national TV .. rushed for 83 yards and two scores while completing 14-of-19 for 142 yards and no interceptions vs. the Orange ... led Huskies to win over Boise State the following week, running for 84 yards and a TD while completing 13-of-25 for 193 yards and a TD ... rushed for 92 yards and passed for 216 and a season-high four touchdowns at UCLA ... four TDs ranked second-most in UW single-game history ... ran for 50 yards and two scores vs. No. 1 USC ... 13 carries or 78 yards and 257 yards and four touchdowns passing vs. Oregon ... after missing the Cal game, came back for the Apple Cup and had a good game ... rushed for 103 and two TDs and also threw for 224 yards and a score vs. the Cougars ... named the team's offensive player of the week for the Oregon, Arizona and Washington State games.

I don't know about you, but that is one hell of a freshman year.

he has thrown over 200 yards four times in and over 300 twice. Once against LSU. in 2007 he threw for less than 200 yards 7 times. Including a 90 yard effort and a 16 yard thrashing. 2,000 yards doesn't make someone an effective QB. In a 12-13 game season you only need to average around 140-150 yards a game for that.

He had 3,000 all purpose yards as a freshman. He was also the 5th leading rusher in the pac-10 as a QB. Give the guy a break. Obviously the verdict isn't out on him yet but having a good QB coach like Sarkesian certainly won't hurt him.

And back to topic, we beat Vandy by 14

Jacke Locker had a good game vs LSU that means he is destined to be a First Round draft pick and Washington is bound to win a bowl game.

At least that is what the rant tells me, when the day before Locker was a scrub and Washington was no better than Tulane.

The last 2 Pac-10 QB's LSU struggled against were Sam Keller and Derek Anderson.

We had people saying the same thing about those two QB's as we are saying about Locker now. Those QB's also won their Bowl games both of those years........

Hey what's up top gun? I just wanted to say hi when you get the time to chat. IMO the defense you saw against WASHINGTON WAS A FLUKE. This week will be different. You will see a rejuvenated team and Chavis will have that defense ready to play.

why don't you quit crying and make you some easy money. remove all money from all of your accounts and go down and bet it, plus your mortgage on vandy to win this one or even beat the spread.

Ya know, I have a wife and 3 daughters. I work full time and we live on one income. I usually come home from the office. Spend some time with the wife and kids. Help with cooking/cleaning/bathing/getting kids to bed. And then try to sit down for 15 or 20 minutes and catch up on the Rant. Maybe post or reply to a few threads. Most of the time I go to bed feeling good about the Tiger Nation and the intelligence that most posters on here exhibit, even if they post something I don't necessarily agree with. Most of the time it's thought out, and sometimes they have stats to back it up, which is quite impressive. But it seems that for the past 3 days, this board has been filled with complete idiots, and you lsucjn are right there amongst them. Why you people come up with crap like this is completely beyond me, and it's obvious that you have no clue as to what you are talking about. Do us a favor and quit posting and never, ever come back.

There are currently 34 bowl games. thats 68 bowl teams. So they're in the top 68?

elleshoe locker was a frosh in 2007
how many yards did tebow throw for his frosh year?

i can remember people saying all he is a running QB,
that he can't throw worth a shite
i'm just proving a point that a frosh and a junior is a BIG difference
in maturity.....the jake of 2007 isn't the 2009 version
