That would be a definite yes to the orig question. Also, a google search on Warren Morris Homerun yields ten pages of links.
Here's the first; enjoy:

That's the highest quality video I have ever seen of that. Thanks! Too bad those announcers suck.

The homer: Yes, Gary, yes.
That swing was about as sweet as it gets. Seeing those Miami players drop to the ground in disbelief even sweeter.

Thanks for the video with Jim Hawthorne's call. That's the first time I heard it, and I'm not ashamed to say it brought tears to my eyes. I'm a girl, I can do that.
I was pacing in my dorm room at Keesler; when he made contact, people across the quad could hear me hollering "Geaux, Geaux, Geaux....OMG, he did it! Great moment - yes, one of the greatest in college sports history.

That will always be my favorite moment in sports. LSU baseball was really the only winning program I followed when I grew up. Football wasn't quite there yet, and the Saints... well nuff said.

Do you think it would be fair to call the CWS home run one of the greatest plays in the history of college sports?
I had recently moved to LA...had only lived in the South for a couple years. It's the play that made me the LSU fan that I am today.

LSU's magic is like that. Welcome. They are fun to watch!

"In addition, it is the only 2-out, ninth inning, walk-off home run in a championship of any collegiate or professional level." About says it all.

If you judge based on the meaningfulness of the play, then Warren Morris' home run beats out 'Hail Flutie' by leaps and bounds, and we see the damn 'Hail Flutie' play nearly every week during CFB season.
It all has to do with how college baseball isn't that popular. If college baseball were as popular as college basketball then you'd see it played every week during the season as well.
Exactly. It is akin to Laettner's shot to beat Kentucky (although it wasn't for the NC like Morris' shot was), or to a Hail Mary in the BCS National Championship Game for Crissake.
On another note, whenever 'Best Damn' shows their top fifty catches, they NEVER EVER EVER
show TWO LSU-related amazing catches:
The catch made by an LSU outfielder to rob Stanford of a home run in 2000 (can't think of his name), and
Josh Reed's incredible leaping, tippy toe TD catch against GT in the 2000 Peach.

I remember when he came up to the plate, he hadn't done well and I said, thats it, we're done
I love seeing the replay and seeing his face. That look was just so intense and in that one moment he defined the term "eye of the tiger"

I have a baseball signed by Warren Morris.
On Warren Morris day 2 years ago I got him to sign a picture of that swing. It's hanging in a place of honor at my house. I don't think I could have a better piece of LSU memorabilia.
When I handed him the picture he told me it was by far the best thing he had signed that day.

The magnitude of the Morris HR is limited only by the popularity of college baseball. A walk off, come from behind, 2-0ut HR to win the championship. It just doesn't get any better than that.
I was by myself in the living room of my Dallas apartment and went batsh*!. I bet everyone in that complex wondered what the hell was going on. Of course, my phone started ringing off the wall, too.

anybody got a link to a pic I remember seeing, had pat burrell laying on the ground I think with his face in the grass and it said "pat burrell lawn inspection services"
Can't find it anywhere. Think it might have been a sig on this site.
And it should definitely be the top play all time but it never will be considered it. It's like throwing a hail mary to win the superbowl with seconds left and you've never thrown the ball more than 40 yards all season. It's the situation you dream of being in in little league, and it really happened.
